Position is based in Karachi, Pakistan and is responsible for supporting customers in nationwide. Troubleshoot and repair products with voltages ranging from 0-1kV AC / DC.
This includes Siemens VFD, Motor, HMI, IPC and other products from the Siemens DI Portfolio Utilize test equipment including, but not limited to ohmmeters, voltmeters, scopes, current meters, hi-potter, variacs and other vital or required equipment to complete the testing / trouble shooting process.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and hardware to wire and assemble drives and subassemblies. Research, understand, and implement ISO procedures.
Wire and assemble systems to customer specifications using basic knowledge of drawings, supplier data sheets, purchase order requirements, and written & verbal instructions.
Develop procedures and test sets. Coordinate with Quality Assurance to maintain both internal and external (i.e., customer / agency) approvals / certificates.
Management process in workshop, preparing of offers and technical reports for the customers, follow-up for works Complies with regulations and company policies Be responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, maintaining, commissioning, installing, start-up and providing technical support for the range of Siemens Drive applications (AC and DC).
Technical / Product knowledge of related working area like (PLC, HMI) Experience of Simatic Manager, WinCC Flexible, WinCC, TIA Portal etc The applicant should be able to demonstrate relevant experience in a similar or appropriate role along with basic programming & PLC knowledge, experience in fault finding Your Qualifications And Skills - Digital And Solid! Bachelor of Engineering / B-Tech ( Electrical / Electronics) with 5-6 years of experience in the field of repair and troubleshooting of Motors, Drives and Automation products.
Specialized skill training / certification may be required. Demonstrates comprehensive proven understanding of troubleshooting and repair of components ( VFD, Motors, PLC) Ability to work and adapt in a team environment.
Ability to wear required safety equipment (safety glasses, safety shoes, arcflash rated clothing / equipment, and hearing protection).
Capable of maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Ability to lift heavy objects. Possess the ability to climb to different heights and work at heights above waist level Ability to work overtime and flexible hours.
Good written and oral communication, report writing required. Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Explorer, and CRM Travel to sites as and when required to support customers.
Maintain tools along with their calibration certificates Experience in customer services and able to manage planned / unplanned services.
Excellent team player who works collaboratively and proactively. Adapts well to working both in a team and independently.
Good soft and analytical skills. Confident speaker and Decision-making ability. Owning responsibility to success and failure.
