Develops, implements administers and maintains benefits and wellness programs as well as leave policies and procedures. Ensures programs meet the needs of a global employee population in a highly competitive industry, comply with legal requirements, and are cost-effective.
Communicates with empathy to employees on benefits-related issues.
What you'll do :
Provides expertise in managing global benefit programs with a keen awareness around monitoring and controlling benefits costs
Researches and evaluates market trends to ensure the competitiveness of global benefits packages
Creates a framework for developing programs and practices to ensure administrative excellence of benefits operations, including benefits programs administration and compliance with local government and plan requirements
Fully manages benefits renewal processes in all locations, including partnering with brokers on evaluation of plan changes and additions to benefits packages, development of communication materials, and any associated implementation
Responsible for the full project management of all benefits programs include preparing communications, promotional materials, and contents for educational sessions
Works with brokers, carriers, TPAs, and internal accounting department to consolidate and reconcile benefits invoices
Ensures full company compliance with federal and state laws for all benefits, including various reporting, audits, filing, and notification processes
Works cross-functionally to ensure policies are documented, communicated and administered correctly
Resolves escalated employee benefits questions and issues related to health & welfare, wellness, retirement, and related company programs
Manages wellness events and researches new and innovative practices and trends in employee wellness
Manages all employee leaves, informing employees of their rights and eligibility under local law and company policy, tracking departure and return from leave
What we're looking for :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field is required
Minimum of 5 years experience working in a human resources role in multiple disciplines is required
3+ years administering global benefits plans is preferred
PHR or SHRM-CP is highly preferred
Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work under minimal supervision
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Required to communicate effectively; listen and give clear directions verbally and in writing
Strong communication (verbal and written) skills in English
Ability to resolve unforeseen event situations in a calm manner
Interpersonal skills to work across all levels of the organization
Understand and practice ethical behavior to meet the company’s expectation for conduct
In-depth knowledge of benefits programs, leave policies, and related benefits law (i.e. FSA / HSA programs, COBRA, FMLA)
