Commercial Analyst Responsibilities : Financial Planning & Analysis (IBP)
Monthly Reporting (monthly outlook, outlook vs actual variations, outlook vs target) finance stewards for country IR and DR process ensuring accurate and transparent reporting.
Track R&O movements rigorously.
Expense Management (Selling expense) Ensure the spend is within budget and properly charged to the right cost centers.
Highlight any abnormal spend to the country leader and follow through rigorously. Establish and review accruals regularly.
Provide detailed spend reports to country teams for sound cost management.
Receivable Management (including DSO ownership) Partner with Credit and Sales on DSO controls and recoveries. Highlighting any potential risk, proactively to the sales leader and country leader.
Inventory Reporting (CP & Seed) Support periodic reporting of inventory to drive working capital improvement.
5 Year Planning, PO Process, Execution Reviews finance steward of annual processes and support country leader and category leads to run these processes smoothly including documentation of key assumptions and finalization of the presentations.
Financial modeling and finance training of category leads (help build economic model for products / projects finance steward of annual processes and support country leader to run these processes smoothly including documentation of key assumptions and finalization of the presentations.
Work closely with controllership for identifying discrepancies and process compliance (incl super-distributor)
Plant costs, Toller costs and COGS management and monitoring own COGS metrics
Monitor business health through established metrics and benchmarks
Market Intelligence generates periodic reports on market indices, commodities and competitor analysis
Create and run standard and ad-hoc financial reports using CFIN and IBP systems.
Commercial Support :
Commercial Policy supports CE in finalizing and regularly updating the commercial policy for the country including all the programs for seed and crop, payment terms, incentive programs, evaluation criteria for dealers, retailers.
Articulate financial impact of commercial policy changes to commercial team
Price & Rebate Administration Participate in the pricing and rebate finalization / discussion in the country, establish and review rebate / return accruals regularly and correct the accruals whenever required.
Channel Incentive Calculations and payouts (Channel & Sales team) Ensuring channel incentives are finalized immediately after end of the period.
MBA (finance), with additional qualification in accounting. Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Planning or Business Finance
Good Communication skills (English is MUST) Role requires interaction with Regional team
Good Interpersonal skills Role requires lot of interaction with commercial and cross functional teams.
High proficiency of computer applications like Excel, Power point presentation.
Ability to work independently
