will be responsible for overall programme support functions, including Finance, Information Technology and Systems, Grants and Donors Reporting, Legal Affairs, Materials Management and Administration.
The role of the position encompasses the following responsibilities :
Contribute to strategic leadership in the operational planning of AKAH activities in Pakistan and the region in collaboration with agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).
Develop and implement a system for tracking and reporting on the progress of the strategic plan implementation.
Conduct risk assessments; provide financial management and reporting mechanisms for procurement and resource allocation.
Oversee financial procedures, reporting and implementation of audits; and ensure high-quality grant management of donor funding.
Direct AKAH Administration policy by establishing and maintaining administrative systems that support the overall administration and management.
Direct AKAH procurement process by providing advice and guidance, assisting in creating procurement and contract management solutions.
Implement IT policies and procedures, ensuring a sound IT environment and continuity of service.
Oversee development of ERP and other application systems supporting management information and decision making.
Lead and coordinate the annual planning and budgeting exercises for the institution.
Ensure timely payment of all tax dues and filing of tax returns as per the requirements of the tax regulations.
Prepare performance evaluation of direct reports.
Review the Finance, IT and Administration manuals and policy guidelines periodically.
The successful candidate should be a qualified accountant (CA, ICMA, ACCA or CIMA). A university degree or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree in addition to the professional certification will be an advantage.
Other requirements include :
Minimum ten years of post-qualification experience, including five years at a senior management level in a development organization.
Experience within a large matrix organization and proven ability to navigate and build relationships with development sector / AKDN network and other donor agencies.
Knowledge of construction industry and property management.
Expertise in computerized accounting systems; specifically, MS Dynamics.
Hands-on experience in grant processes, procedures, donor and statutory audits.
Should have :
Knowledge of management principles and NGO practices involved in strategic planning, resources allocation, leadership technique and coordination of people and resources
Knowledge of the relevant laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders and organizational rules.
