The successful candidate will be responsible for review, communication and implementation of SOPs, work instructions and KPIs in the department, based on customer requirements, Corporate Integrated Management System, regulatory and industry standards, Quality Management Systems and departmental objectives and policies.
Facilitate and represent the department at all external airline audits, change management processes, continuous improvement programmes & ensure all staff are updated on SOPs for relevant areas of operations.
1. Job Purpose To lead the Security and Emergency Response as well as the Health,Safety,Environment and Quality Functions by proactively ensuring a positive health and safety culture in the workplace, compliance with the legislations and alignment with dnata’s policies.
This includes the development and implementation of the HSE and Quality strategy, ensure the Security of Gerry’s dnata Resources and stakeholders are all times 2.
Job Accountabilities Plan - Develops the broad functional strategy and ensures it is cascaded down to the departments - Ens ures that departmental strategies and related strategic plans are developed and implemented -
Oversees the implementation of the function's policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls to ensure procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled -
Manages the preparation and consolidation of the function's budgets and monitors financial performance versus the budget -
Ensures Customer airline requirements are met in-line with specific requirements relating to safety and security processes and procedures -
Coordinates audits to evaluate the effectiveness of Operational Safety, Security, Health and Safety systems and procedures, and identify and implement improvements.
Reviews investigations, or where appropriate, to assist others to investigate the circumstances and causes of accidents and take necessary steps to prevent a recurrence.
Develops and ensures implementation of Emergency, Business continuity and Security programs in line with dnata’s global requirements -
Develops, implements and coordinates functional systems and processes, to reduce risk and ensure preparedness processes that align with regulatory requirements, industry best practices and is fit for purpose to meet stakeholder expectations -
Leads the Security function by ensuring Gerry’s dnata’s stakeholders, premises, assets are secured, continuous communication with the regulatory bodies and compliance with the Government legislations and policies HSE and Quality : -
Develops annual HSE improvement plans to support the strategic objectives of Gerry’s dnata - Promotes a positive health and safety culture in the workplace and ensure dnata’s Health and Safety policy is implemented consistently across Pakistan in line with dnata’s standards -
Ensues that Gerry’s dnata complies with the current Health and safety legislation and approved codes of practice, offering and co-
coordinating specialist support to the frontline safety teams. - Leads the monitoring, evaluation and review of the Operational Safety, Health and Environment policy and practice and ensures that the recommendations are in line with Gerry’s dnata’s requirement and are implemented effectively -
Manages and ensure implementation of the One Safety initiatives and helps deliver dnata cultural change program - Works with the executives to improve the understanding of dnata’s safety initiatives Deploy -
Ensures the deployment of the necessary resources across Gerry’s dnata premises to protect and safeguard the operations Lead -
Manages effective achievement of division objectives through managing the department by setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximise subordinate and departmental performance -
Maintains a leading role in coaching leadership teams and others on loss prevention and risk management principles - Attends management an budgetary meetings Qualifications / skills / experience / knowledge -
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or any related field - 10-12 years of experience in Commercial / sales including at least 5 years in a managerial role -
Extensive knowledge of effective health and safety management strategies and best practice. - Detailed knowledge of current health and safety legislation and its application in a Cargo / Transport and Ground Handling environment.
