To lead the plant safety agenda, incorporating system development and process implementation whilst ensuring compliance to all local laws and PepsiCo standards.
Manage the entire environmental process for the plant ensuring continuous feed of effluent to municipality at stipulated levels & implement EMS on Multan GF Snacks.
Hence, also to lead Health agenda for Operations team.
To assist business in meeting the HSE KPI’s and performance goals for Project Safety matters of Multan GF
To lead and deliver the Multan Plant Safety, Health and Environment Agenda in order, to support the Pakistan CU overall HSE business agenda to achieve transformational H&S from GF to Operational site
To provide leadership and planning for the safety Integrated Business Plan, Annual Operating Plan and key risk mitigation
Provide support to all levels of the business, including the Executive Leadership Team to update their knowledge of Health and Safety matters, to understand the operations being carried out by the business, and the hazards and risks associated with the operations, and to ensure that the business has, and uses, processes for complying with duties or obligations under the relevant Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice
Implementation of the PepsiCo’s Global Health & Safety Management Standards (GEHSMS) as per Sector guidelines
Establish ISO 18001 & ISO 14001 certification as part of multi-site certification process by fulfilling all the requirements, guidance and support to other functions
Conduct Self-Audit against diagnostics of EHS, Technical, Environmental and Management standards, develops action plans, monitor & report progress to management.
Ensure through audits & inspections that all major risks at Multan plant have identified and evaluated all existing and potential threats arising as a result of routine / non-
routine activities & ensure actions plans in place to mitigate the risks and improve performance
Implementation of MyEHS modules as per the sector requirements.
Achieve Environmental compliance against PEQS & PI standards as per updated Environmental compliance requirement.
To ensure sustaining of line walks, near miss reporting for Safety and Environment
To ensure site meets target of LTIR, RIR along with all other leading and lagging KPI’s
Ensure that due diligence is adhered to on behalf of PI regarding product waste.
Accountable to ensure that all safety training including refresher courses are executed for the required
Act as the PI legal representative responsible for Safety, Health and Environmental affairs.
Ensure compliance of Occupational Health and Safety procedures and statutory regulations
Manage the waste water operation including operations, regulatory compliance and crewing.
Manage development and facilitate execution of recommendations of FM global to achieve HPR status
Follow through with Multan leadership to ensure all company employees and contractors fully understand the procedures they must follow to safeguard the environment, health & safety during their working activities.
Maintaining good working relationships with Local and Government regulatory bodies like Environmental Protection Agency and Factories Inspectors, Ministry of Environment, Health laboratories to keep abreast of industry related laws, regulations and changing requirements.
Qualifications / Requirements
Engineering degree (Preferably Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical) or Masters in Environmental Sciences
Sound knowledge of EHS policies and procedures & be sensitive to the National environment and health & safety laws and legal issues.
NEBOSH IGC (Mandatory)
Lead Auditor OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001
Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis
Associate Safety Professional (ASP) / Certified Safety professional (CSP) or equivlent
Professional Safety Body Membership ( IOSH or ASSE) would be a plus.

Machinery Safety Standards / Functional Safety ( Working Knowledge)
