Chargebee is looking for an exceptional Principal Software Engineer who is passionate about helping shape the product at a dynamic and fast-growing startup.
You will work closely with a world-class engineering and design team to deliver game-changing product capabilities and drive continuous product improvements.
As a Principal Software Engineer you will be responsible to build a robust, secure and highly usable user interface. You will work closely with our user experience team to realize our product vision.
You must have both a proven track record building SaaS platform services and a desire to drive amazing new product capabilities.
What you will be doing :
Works with designers to optimize for design, performance, functionality and security of our interfaces
Have an understanding of user centered design and can work with a design team, consume design artifacts and implement them in an existing system.
Have the ability to mentor team members and develop a team around you
Help make decisions on the tech stack weighing various considerations including maintainability, current team expertise, scalability, security etc as you expand our user interfaces
Experience of bundlers, such as Webpack, Browserify or Gulp and their use in building scalable, maintainable applications.
Strong experience in defining and applying design standards, patterns, quality matrix depending on the solutions.
Experienced in modern dev tools, process and methodologies like TDD, Unit Testing & Functional testing using Mocha, Chai, Jest or other frameworks.
Must be well versed with agile environments and development with a distributed team
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working with distributed teams
Familiarity with Material UI and Redux are highly desirable.
Experience testing with tools like BrowserStack, Cypress or others
