Contributes to and supports the strategy created by various businesses operating in Pakistan, and takes a lead in defining, and owning, the specific implications for the Decorative Paints business, for which he directs and leads the implementation of strategic initiatives and the differentiated growth strategy in Pakistan so that the plans are detailed out, efficiently resourced and transparently managed.
Ensures all business goals and objectives are reached through good governance across all operations of the legal entity.

Acts as most senior leader in multi businesses (Deco, PC & SC) Pakistan organization and drives exposure and focus of the country with stakeholders across MEA and SESAME Regions
Key person responsible to the Board of Directors, regulators, and AkzoNobel for governance of AkzoNobel Pakistan Limited
Represents the organization to the public, key stakeholders, major customers, professional organizations and any business partners of this public limited company
Ensures processes are in place for meeting regulatory requirements, such as Securities and Exchange Commission, Stock Exchange rules, Competition Law, etc, and takes thought through decisions on legal issues facing the company
Contributes and supports the strategy execution plan for Performance Coatings and Specialty Chemicals businesses.
Sets direction by communicating the strategy and vision of where AkzoNobel Pakistan is going
Coordinates the activities for the Company by planning and implementing the annual calendar of activities including special events and the deadlines of the corporate / BA / Regional operational cycles
Is responsible for oversight of the Profit & Loss as well as Balance Sheet of the Company
Chairs regular meetings of the Company’s Executive Management Team
Contributes to setting objectives, bonus plans for senior managers, intervening where necessary

Takes the lead and in defining, and owning strategy for the Decorative Paints business, and actively involved in development of business objectives and leading key actions
Familiar with all the applicable corporate as well as site policies / procedures with regard to personal conduct and HSE standards and acting in compliance with all applicable regulations, signing off LOA for the Company
Works closely with business Directors to ensure matrix structure operates efficiently and takes ownership by representing business Directors towards own team and vice versa
Strengthens the talent pipeline by developing talent and regularly assesses and discusses talent and internal movement as part of the LTR exercise.
Continuously monitors and evaluates retention risk
Creates an open environment in the team where all people can perform at their best and stimulates the development of others and ensures an engaged team
Reports on progress on a continuous basis
15-20 years experience in an MNC or similar corporate environment, and a Master’s degree will be useful
Commercial experience may be very useful, however a role in heading a function in an organization at a DR2 level is essential, as are strong people management skills
Experience in an international assignment or role is useful. Foreign education may be a plus as well. Fluency in written and spoken English language is essential.
