The opportunity

Rapid Innovation is recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join our Internal Audit team established in Karachi, Pakistan.

You will be responsible to serve our clients as part of our teams across MENA offices excluding Pakistan both in an onshore and offshore model.

Your key responsibilities

As an Assistant Manager, you will be required to work effectively as a team member, draw on your knowledge and experience to solve complex issues and support the MENA local Partner(s) and build relationships with MENA internal clients and peers.

As an Assistant Manager :

  • Everything you will be involved in comes down to providing excellent customer service and helping our teams do the same.
  • Whether it is working with multiple client teams, advising the clients on internal audit, or assisting executives with business development activities across various sectors, you will build strong relationships and become a trusted advisor to your MENA clients.

  • You will participate in MENA engagements, working effectively as a team member, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress.
  • You will assist in client service delivery, participate in all assigned tasks, and assist in preparing reports that will be delivered to clients and other parties.

  • Understand the risk assessment process and client’s risk culture and risk appetite
  • Develop risk based internal audit plans, perform internal control testing, and prepare reports with our findings and recommendations.
  • Plan, supervise and execute internal audits and reviews of different business processes
  • Able to supervise, conduct, and report on the testing and adequacy of the entity’s design and operating effectiveness of internal controls
  • Prepare and present high-quality internal audit reports that will reflect audit’s results.
  • Prepare and finalize the presentations and other reports on a periodic basis for the Audit Committee meetings of clients
  • Responsible for the delivery of Internal Audit related projects within Financial Services as per client needs.
  • Keeping up to date with current trends from the region and from across the world.
  • Support in coaching, training and mentoring of junior staff.
  • Developing yourself personally, taking a keen interest in trends in Financial Services Internal Audit and the impact on our clients so you can help shape their thinking and our success in the market.
  • Working with colleagues in all Middle Eastern offices on MENA engagements and internal initiatives as well as with international teams where appropriate

    To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, accounting, or finance.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience of working in internal audit for a public accounting firm, professional services firm preferable in financial services sector
  • Relevant experience areas include, but not limited to, risk assessment and audit planning, drafting audit programs, executing internal audits, audit reporting and meetings with stakeholders etc.
  • Fluent English communication skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication with out of box thinking abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Data Analytics
  • Ideally, you’ll also have

  • ACCA / CA, and / or CIA certification is essential for long-term growth in the role; Based on an individual’s professional background, area of specialization or industry focus, we recognize that other certifications, credentials or experience may be more relevant than the listed certifications and therefore may be acceptable.
  • Experience working in a similar role with an international consulting firm
  • More operationally focused in working and institutionalizing best practices and process
