PositionPurpose Statement :
To manage and lead lab activities within designated Confectionarysite and coordinate with the production, PPL and Ware House teams in analyticaltesting of Raw, WIP material and Finished Product with the aim to achievespecification compliance.
Develop the quality culturewithin the factory. Be in charge of coordinating the quality of finishedproducts. The role is centred on several tasks, R-Mat & PackMat laboratorymanagement, testing and timely release to production.
Providing expertise andtraining within internal quality and compliance controls.
Managementof non-compliance and consumer / customer complaints.
PrimaryAccountabilities / Responsibilities
Coordinatethe follow-up of product quality incidents with Quality Lead (non-compliancewith regulations, Out Of Specification).
Makeconnections with the Finished Products warehouse team for the handling ofnon-compliant products.
Provide technical support to Manufacturing on issues relating toFinished Products quality and consistency of materials.
Motivate andspread sensory awareness throughout the site.
Responsible for analysis and reporting of data and continuousimprovement in his area.
The keyresponsibility of this lead position includes Supporting Daily Lab Task in theAnalytical Lab Quality and Leading Continuous Improvement Projects.
Test andRelease all of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
Perform labbatches to make authorized adjustments for in-process bulk batches.
Lead IL6Sactivities in laboratories and Lead 5S activities in Analytical Lab area.
Usestatistical analysis of process data to identify trends for specificationmanagement of raw materials, intermediates, finished goods, and continuousimprovement opportunities.
Maintainequipment up-to-date, calibrated and in good working condition.
Leadinstrument troubleshooting and problem diagnosis in the Analytical Lab atsites.
SupportInnovations activities, including readiness (i.e. method transfer and standardprocurement) and post launch.
Participatingin QM pillar Activities.
Supportprocess capability studies to maintain alignment between process capability andspecifications limits in processing and production operations.
Followoperating procedures and technical standards for the testing of raw materials,intermediates, and finished goods.
Support MSAfor CTQs.
Utilizelaboratory data bases and supporting software programs to maintain, record, andcontrol testing of raw materials, intermediate, and finished goods.
SupportQuality Investigations and non-conformances.
Make dailydecisions to assure that Quality Standards are not compromised
Beresponsible for the site’s traceability system and develop it if necessary.
Coordinatethe action plans necessary to progress (coordination of traceability actionplan).
Providesupport in traceability testing exercise to rest the efficacy of system.
Renderfinished product specifications into visual standards and on-line qualitycontrols in connection with Business Development and R&D.
Ensure thedistribution of finished product specifications.
Follow theOOS procedure in the case of operational deviation from specifications.
Participatein the development of new products / projects.
Drive toensure approved equipment, test methods and specification are in practice.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience andLanguage Requirements
Knowledge : including education, qualifications and training
Bachelors in FoodSciences
Proven work experience inmanufacturing
Certificate ofsupervision or specific training and development in people management
Experience / trainingin Continuous Improvement
Technical / Work BasedSkills

At least three yearswithin Quality Assurance and Process preferably in the Food, Chemical orPharmaceutical industry.

Ability in dealing withshop floor issues and concerns raised by employees or their representatives.
Working knowledge andeffective understanding of the production process in a systems environment.
