Accountabilities :

  • Preparing and vetting all appropriate legal agreements which are either initiated or renewed in Pakistan.
  • Representing on behalf of the Company in the appropriate Courts.
  • Preparing notices of BoD / AGMs together with the Finance Director. Preparing minutes of the meeting for circulation
  • Preparing resolutions for circulation and follow up on approval and adequate dissemination
  • Assisting Finance Director in filing Statutory Returns before local authority (SECP). Coordinating with Directors and others for arranging all necessary documentation attendant to the filing
  • Assisting Finance Director in solving old discrepancies and notices from SECP.
  • Providing guidance to management on Industrial Relations matters. Working with legal advisors to defend cases filed by workers in difference labor courts against their dismissals etc.
  • Providing assistance to management on Intellectual Property matters. Coordinating withMurgatroyd and marketing team. Working with legal advisors to file and defend infringement / passing off cases with liaison with Trade Mark Attorney.
  • Filing cases against the customers (with respect to recoveries, breach of contract, trade mark matters etc.), local authorities (Sindh Revenue Board, Land Authority (SITE), SESSI, EOBI, Utilities companies) etc.
  • Liaise with all appropriate legal advisors.
  • Handling / replying to show cause notices receive from local authorities i.e. State Bank of Pakistan (export payments), Sindh Revenue Board etc.
  • Supporting in WPPF (Workers’ Profit Participation Fund) , WWF (Workers’ Welfare Funds)issues and related litigation
  • Helping Company in audit conducted by local authorities i.e. Stamp Duty , Sales Tax etc.
  • Reviewing trust deeds, getting trusts registered as per need
  • Assisting Company in appropriate regulatory and legal compliances.
  • Liaises with Group Legal to provide updates and seek guidance on ongoing litigation
  • Requirements :

  • Must be a Law’ graduate
  • Min.3 years work experience in similar professional capacity
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
  • Growth mindset
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented & have strong analytical skills
  • High level of motivation and drive for results
  • Good written and Oral Communication Skills
