JR1562 Scrum Master- IT
We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to oversee and guide scrum teams. The Scrum Master's responsibilities include ensuring that development teams follow scrum framework values and agile practices, mentoring and motivating the teams to improve processes, facilitating meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminating team impediments.
To be successful as a scrum master, you should have a firm grasp of agile methodology and the ability to effectively manage and mentor development teams.
The ideal candidate is first and foremost a servant leader, a facilitator who tirelessly works through impediments, ensures the integrity of Agile processes, and motivates the team to high levels of performance and achievement.
The Scrum Master will manage high visibility solution delivery using agile methodology in a fast-paced environment. As a Team Agility Lead, this person is responsible for onboarding new team members, providing Agile training and reinforcement, and partnering with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches in the organization to establish and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives.
This position will be serving three scrum teams in IT that jointly support Worldwide Sales. Team members are globally dispersed (primarily in the U.
S. and India), and the Scrum Master must be available to work IST 2nd shift to enable cross-geo collaboration.
Coach the scrum teams in using Agile methodology and practices to plan, manage and deliver solutions
Act as a buffer between the scrum team and outside interruptions to maintain a safe working environment for the team
Support the product owners and provide education where needed
Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments
Training, mentoring, supporting scrum teams and teaching them to self-organize
Schedule and facilitate Agile ceremonies and decision-making meetings
Manage issues, risks, and action items
Coordinate with other teams who share dependencies to achieve solution delivery according to customer expectations; includes partnering with Ops, Security, Training and COEs
Help the scrum team define and manage processes, such as DoR, DoD and release management, and support team members in the use of Azure DevOps
Create and effectively utilize metrics to help the team make improvements
Product Owner / Solution Manager Support
Helps product owner to make the product backlogs in good shape and make them ready for the next sprint
Understand project milestones, goals and expectations through collaboration with the Product Owner and Project Manager
Collaborate closely with Product Owner to confirm priorities for the team’s work and make adjustments for prioritization conflicts
Support the Product Owner / Solution Manager in managing customer expectations for project deliverables
Should be a friendly communicative person : When team is moving fast in Agile, communication is the effective force which holds the team together
Promote empowerment of the team to build a cohesive, high performing team
Facilitate the team for better creativity and efficiency while still setting aside some time for fun
Encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team
Ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution
Use appropriate data and metrics to measure and promote team growth
Have knowledge about Agile techniques such as Continuous Integration, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
Minimum 3 years Scrum Master experience
Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
Basic knowledge of software development processes and procedures
5+ years in IT preferred
