About the Role Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of their company’s fleet of vehicles. Ensuresthat all vehicles are properly maintained, safe to drive, and in good working order.

May also betasked with hiring new drivers or training current ones on safety protocols and best practices.Additionally, responsible for managing employee shuttle bus operations.

What You’ll Do Fleet Management

  • Purchasing and maintaining client vehicles.
  • Registering and licensing all vehicles under their management.
  • Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection.
  • Complying with local transport laws and regulations.
  • Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
  • Monitoring driver behaviour and ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Analysing data to increase business operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring that company policies are followed regarding vehicle maintenance, accident prevention, fuel efficiency, and other driving practices.
  • Maintaining safety standards for drivers and passengers
  • Conducting regular safety inspections of vehicles to ensure that they are in good working order
  • Reviewing safety reports to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Training new employees on safety procedures and company policies
  • Assigning routes to drivers based on traffic patterns, customer needs, and other factors

  • Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operationalarea. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective actionand termination.
  • Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labourincluding overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff.

    Mentors andcoaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and modelsbehaviours that are consistent with the company's values.
