You will be working as Country Finance Manager and will be a part of the Industrial Automation, Turbocharging Division based in Lahore, Pakistan.

In this role, you will be reporting to the Global Division Controller and locally to the Country Managing Director. You will be responsible for establishing an effective and cost-efficient finance support platform to the business lines in the relevant geography in line with group requirements, including oversight of relevant Finance Group Functions and Global Business Services.

Ensuring that the activities of the local business lines are in line with local regulatory requirements and the overall strategy.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensuring effective and cost-efficient support platforms are established for divisions in line with group requirements, including oversight of relevant local Finance Group Functions.
  • Supporting the Country Managing Director in driving local demand orders and safeguarding the overall interest of ABB.

  • Providing stewardship to the relevant geographic area to ensure overall financial governance. Driving implementation of processes to ensure compliance with group policies and requirements in the areas of accounting, controlling, reporting, treasury, planning, tax, real estate and information systems.
  • Managing and further developing Global Business Services in the geographic area in line with group policies and requirements.

  • Providing oversight to ensure local compliance with all applicable fiduciary requirements. Acting as the key external contact for ABB for all finance related matters.
  • Efficiently managing relationships with local banks for smooth operation of financial transaction through them.
  • Ensuring an efficient organization of financial accounting and reporting processes in line with group GAAP, local legal and tax requirements.
  • Ensuring financial reporting management in accordance with defined quality standards and required business or financial system closing schedules.

  • Supports internal and external audits related to company / country financials
  • Ensuring transparency in financial reporting and disclosures. Overseeing implementation of internal controls regarding financial and non-financial operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate and country standards, regulations and guidelines. Supporting internal and external audits.

  • Responsible for implementing key improvement programs across area of responsibility and for optimization of legal set-up, capital structure and asset management in co-operation finance group functions.
  • Driving continuous improvements in cost efficiency and implementing group function cost reduction initiatives across area of responsibility.

    Identifying and implementing finance best practices within the geographic area.

  • Providing input to the strategy of the divisions based on the local regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guiding, motivating and developing direct or indirect subordinates within HR policies.
  • Facilitating active engagement and networking of the finance community within geographic area.

  • Your background

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or Finance.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the area of Finance.
  • Excellent understanding of fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, analytical thinking as well as exceptional organizational and commercial skills.
  • Required strong leadership and communication skill.
