Description : We are seeking an incumbent who will be responsible to develop and execute business development in order to improve DHL’s attainment of business.

Ensure detailed study and understanding of customers' shipping requirements in order to provide highly customized services, encompassing logistics and distribution services, to specifically identified customers.

  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationship with customers by ensuring highest level of customer’s satisfaction continuously.
  • Timely customer complaint redressal and enquiry response.
  • Management and retention of defined customer portfolio.
  • Develop and execute sales plan / strategy / activities to achieve target budgets.
  • Negotiate with customers on contractual terms of service provision that is aligned to corporate sales policy and procedures.
  • Drive adherence to approved credit limits granted to customers and enforce agreed payment terms.
  • Responsible for delivery of high quality presentation of the entire range of standardized products and services to potential customers.
  • Actively plan, prepare and realize sales calls for better customer retention and new business acquisition.
  • Secure / collect all necessary information to assess credit worthiness of potential customers.
  • Conduct surveys and market intelligence gathering to assess and target potential business prospects and review competitor behavior.
  • Skills, Qualifications & Experience :

  • Minimum 4-6 years of working experience in field sales at freight forwarding or shipping line.
  • Broad understanding of trade lane specifics in the forwarding industry and deep knowledge of air freight, ocean freight, and logistics business models.
  • Master’s degree is preferred in relevant field.
  • Capability to deliver presentations and highly effective in conducting sales negotiations.
  • Must have proven sales record.
  • Must have excellent communication, management and interpersonal skills.
  • Command over Microsoft Office and other related software.
