Employment Type : This is a contractual position.
Duration : 12 months. The contract may be extendable depending on requirement of the business.
Location : This role is based in Islamabad, Pakistan.
The Role :
Ideally the candidate will have some knowledge of Telecom industry (GSM & Digital) and will have experience in data analytics and reporting.
Should have thorough experience in using analytics tools for data extraction, processing and reporting including Vertica SQL, MS Excel and Qlik Sense.
Your Impactful Goals will include :
Support to develop reporting and analytics framework for Digital Division
Analyze Daily trends and build descriptive analysis for effective business decisions
Support to product owners in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on various products’ data regarding customers, markets, competitors, user behavior (acquisition and engagement), and campaign effectiveness, to measure performance and support business decisions.
Responsible for ensuring Completeness, Accuracy and Validity of all data analytics
Perform reporting and analytics to gather key business insights
Answer business questions raised by stakeholders, including drivers for Users / Revenue, What-If , Cause-Effect etc.
Look out for new areas for analytics to enhance analytics scope
How will your Typical Day look like :
Strong command on VSQL, MS Excel and Qlik Sense to develop data dashboards
Strong command on Descriptive and Inferential statistics
Support product managers to source relevant data from BI systems
Develop and present key insights from data pertaining to business and product performance
Constantly review and improve data sources to bring objectivity and relevance to product decisions
Work with internal stakeholders to determine ongoing business intelligence needs in order to design, develop and produce ongoing reports and dashboards to support the business
Liaison with BI teams to set up standard reports / dashboards
Share ad-hoc analysis with the management on need basis
Addressing the business questions raised by various business units by sound and thorough analysis and recommendations
Perform data mining and able to convert large data sets into meaningful insights
Your Career Path :

What we're looking for :
Bachelors Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative discipline
Work Experience :
At least 2 years of experience in Data analytics role, in reporting and analysis capacity in a telecom operator
Working knowledge of data extraction and processing tools, including Vertica SQL, MS Excel and Qlik Sense
Functional Skills / Knowledge Areas :
Expert at writing SQL queries against large amounts of data
Should have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Experience with data visualization tools such Qlik Sense
Eye for operational efficiency and making complex processes simple
Should have strong quantitative & analytical skills
Should be able to analyze, understand and recommend solutions to complex problems
Ability handle working under tight deadlines without compromising on data analytics quality
Process oriented approach towards problem solving
Should possess sufficient telecom business knowledge
Have good communication & presentation skills
Go-getter attitude with a proactive approach to getting things done
