JR7181 Principal Solution Architect IT Proc / Legal

As a strong technical thought leader, you will build strong partnerships with your business partners. In the IT Procurement Solution Architect role, you will design enterprise solutions in a fast-paced, Agile environment, closely partnered with business and IT stakeholders. You will be the

go-to hands on Subject Matter Expert(SME) for Global Procurement & Supply chain responsible for delivering designs, mock-ups, and software solutions based on the SAP and across multiple technologies / platforms.

You will define the future technology footprint and solutions roadmap that will enable us to achieve strategic business objectives within this functional area.

You will solve complex techno-functional challenges by providing holistic and scalable solution designs with overall guidance and oversight to various product / implementation / system change initiatives in SAP Material Management & Production Planning areas.

In addition, you will communicate the solutions and roadmap to business and technology leaders, achieve buy-in from all stakeholders and ensure that solutions achieve business goals and adhere to enterprise architecture standards.

You will adhere to the IT processes and methodologies in regard to Change Management, Release Management, Test Management, SDLC, etc.

and provide leadership in maturing them.

Responsibilities and Tasks :

As a member of the IT Procurement team this role will be involved in :

  • Create the to-be technology footprint, develop solutions roadmap and phased implementation approach to achieve strategic business objectives within Procurement, Planning and Operations.
  • Analyze existing SAP MM / MRP, PP, QM & IM technology issues and propose short, mid and long-term solutions.
  • Evangelize the to-be technology stack with relevant business and technology stakeholders.
  • Transform requirements into detailed solution architecture deliverables for strategic initiatives within the assigned functional area.
  • Define and incorporate non-functional and cross-functional requirements into proposed solutions.
  • Actively participate as a member of the delivery team in providing and ensuring optimal design solutions are understood and adopted
  • Lead and facilitate cross functional solution design discussions with Business Process Owners, solution architect, business analysts and developers
  • Work with Domain Architects (including Data, Infrastructure, Application and Security architects) to ensure that solution architecture aligns with system design guidelines and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Participate in business, data, application and infrastructure planning, providing insight into the future of the technology footprint within the assigned functional area.
  • Evaluate new technologies and create proposals for their adoption based on business goals, investments, benefits and risks
  • Foster innovation and implement creative out-of-the-box ideas by conducting brainstorming sessions and other innovation events
  • Perform hands-on work related to system configuration etc. Document business requirements, Business process flows, functional specs and solution designs.
  • Coach, mentor and guide solution delivery and operations teams to effectively leverage the technology footprint.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with business and technical leaders
  • Ensure the stability and scalability of SAP Procurement solutions and its cross functional integration.
  • Provide continued leadership and oversight in adhering and maturing IT processes
  • Play a significant role within the Architecture Review Board, in not only defining application standards, but also driving the final decision on solution.
  • Required Qualifications :

  • 15+ years of cumulative work experience with Semiconductor and Alternate / Renewables energy and Information technology industries.
  • 5-7 years of solution architecture experience with added advantage of SAP MRP implementation experience with industry best practices.
  • 5+ years of hands-on techno functional experience / subject matter expect in SAP Supply Chain Area(Materials / Production Planning, Materials Requirement Planning and Supply Chain Planning solutions)
  • Strong SAP knowledge in SAP MM, PP, QM & IM modules and ERP full life-cycle implementations and demonstrated project implementation experience is required
  • Strong Integration experience SAP with any non-SAP external systems is required.
  • Formal SAP certification in a related application area is a plus
  • In depth understanding of the SAP Application Architecture & Technology including S4 / Hana & Ariba preferred.
  • Solid experience with IT processes related to Change management, Release Management and SDLC
  • Broad and deep experience in Supply Chain Business Process, Demand & Supply Planning, Forecast management, Warehouse Operations, Costing and Procurement business processes and related technical solution
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills including the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
  • Strong oral & written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
  • Experience and demonstrated understanding of global system rollouts strategy, planning, vendor selection and implementation planning is required.
  • Experience working with executive business stakeholders is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cohesively across a cross functional and matrixed organization
  • Experience with process mapping, documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable format is required.
  • Experience understanding, evaluating, and recommending changes to business processes are required.
  • Experience developing strategic business process methodologies to drive business results
  • Strong data analysis, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to consider upstream and downstream process impacts and implications.
  • Exhibits acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Ability to drive initiatives and projects independently from start to finish
  • Strong knowledge of Excel Advanced, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, MS Project Suite (MPP / Visio / etc.)
  • Education :

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information technology, Engineering or related degree, or equivalent work experience
