The focus of the role is to identify and develop customised land side services to cater to the market needs
To be an anchor point within the team to promote / assist and drive performance on the global and local logistics initiatives
To maintain, develop and grow relationships within the existing client portfolio
Create quality business plans to maintain and grow relationship within client portfolio
Actively develop new opportunities and revenue streams in line with the business objectives
Meet the Sales Minimum Standards through Sales Pipeline management and related measures :
Build a good understanding of the assigned account base and identifying customer needs and providing value added solutions
Work closely with the local commercial teams and providing relevant market feedback
Ensure customer relationship management tools are updated accurately
We are looking for
Customer centric self-starter who is proactive and has a value adding business mind-set
Able to create quality business plans and proficient in persuasive selling
A team player with excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills along with the ability to persuade and influence
Experience in Logistics and Supply chain solutions will be an advantage
Energetic, enthusiastic, consistent and actively engages with stakeholders
Results driven and capable of working under pressure while keeping sight of the bigger picture and of the full business processes
Is able to understand customer needs and offer mutually beneficial solutions
Responsible for all customer-facing activities within the Area, ensuring that Safmarine provides the best experience possible to customers both old and new.
Building long-term relationships with customers at the right level, acting as a positive role model to the team so that they can do the same.
Driving the adoption of new tools, products and processes designed to improve how we serve our customers.
Owns the relationship between the Customer Experience teams within the Area and the Global Service Centre support teams through execution of the agreed Operating System.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry sales related tools
Ideally has a University degree
Is highly proficient in the English language
Ability to speak Arabic is advantageous
