As a Senior Engineer Unified Communications based in Islamabad / Lahore / Karachi, you will need to provide Level 2 and 3 support to Afiniti global teams using Cisco WebEx Meetings / Teams with Pro Pack subscription.

You would also be taking care of the troubleshooting WebEx Room (Boards, Share and SXs) as well as End User devices like DX80 etc.

You would be required to work with Afiniti vendor and Cisco to open TAC to resolve issues on different Video / Audio platforms like CUCM, WebEx and others.

Key Responsibilities

Your specific duties as a Senior VOIP / Collaboration Engineer will include :

  • Assist project member with analysis and evaluations
  • Incident Response for all Level 2 and 3 issues
  • Respond to tickets opened for CUCM, WebEx and UCCX hardware and software issues and address configuration issues, vulnerabilities and potential vendor product defects
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of the products currently in production to provide alternative options should there be an EOS / EOL notification or a security vulnerability (PSIRT) released
  • Provide administrative training to customer’s technical leads
  • Provide end user training to Level 1 Afiniti support
  • Provide recommendations to internal customer to solve existing or anticipated issues with the current network / voice architecture
  • Serves as a subject matter expert.
  • The ideal candidate will have

  • 3-5years relevant experience of VOIP
  • Foundation route / switch knowledge with an emphasis on Collaboration and voice solutions implementing UC solutions and upgrades with and without hardware refreshes
  • Experience with deploying Cisco UC solutions including CUCM, Unity Connection, Cisco IM & Presence, UCCX and Cisco Emergency Responder
  • Experience working with Cisco MCS Servers, Cisco UCS C-Series servers, Cisco UCS B-series servers, Cisco 2800 / 2900 / 3800 / 3900 routers, Cisco VG224 Analog gateways, Cisco VG310 Analog gateways, Cisco VG350 Analog Gateways, Digital Signal Processors (DSPs), Cisco 7900,7800, 8800, 6900, 8900, 9900 IP Phones.
  • Proven experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager 4.x-11.x, Cisco Unity Connection 7.x 11.x, Cisco IM&P 9.x 11.
  • x, Cisco Prime Assurance 11.x, Cisco Expressway 8.2, Cisco Webex Meeting Server 2.0-2.5, Cisco Emergency Responder, Cisco Unified Contact Center Express 7,x 11.x.


  • Educated to degree level or equivalent or able to demonstrate equivalent experience in industry
