A successful Competitive Intelligence Senior Manager is accountable for providing guidance and insights in the area of Competitive Intelligence for the Operating Unit.

Focus, Scope, & Impact :

  • Steward the organisation’s cross-functional team to execute the Competitive Intelligence Playbook, linking the dots across inputs and ensuring timely delivery of insights
  • Competitors mapping across Operating Unit and analysis of the key players
  • Continuous monitoring of competitive dynamics and anticipation of competitor moves for core planning processes (Long Range Plan, Annual Business Plan) and ad-hoc based on competitive dynamics
  • Coordinate in-depth competitors’ analysis at the country / multi-geography level
  • Review competitor performance across vectors (including asymmetries vs KO), discuss implications and takeaways (in cooperation with Strategy Franchise Teams)
  • Define potential competitive moves and support response choices based on scenario planning simulations
  • Support franchise operations teams on accelerating response of strategic moves based on competitive triggers (both pro-active and reactive)
  • Continuously evaluate the Competitive Intelligence Framework’s relevance across focus markets and vectors (Market Structure, Consumer Purchase Behaviour, Competitive pricing and promo strategy, Price architecture and segmentation strategy, Competitive design to value, Growth P&L investment, Sales-service models, Competitive Innovation and Supply chain).
  • Consistently track and analyse local Macro Economic trends and share with other functions (Strategy / Marketing / CCL)

  • 8 Countries across 3 distinctive market clusters
  • Market Volume / Value : UC 7BN / $ 28BN
  • Knowledge & Experience

  • 10 years of leadership experience in senior competitive intelligence roles or senior strategy
  • Ability to work in a diverse cultural environment as a highly efficient communicator and influencer at all levels
  • Profound understanding of the beverage industry and competitive dynamics
  • Travel requirements

  • 20% of travel required
