Short description

Play a role in coordinating with auditees to work out logistics and timeframe for the conduct of audits, perform a risk analysis of the business processes involved in the area under audit and design effectiveness of controls incorporated in SOPs to mitigate those risks.

Collect relevant data for testing whether controls are being effectively implemented. Draw up a report of findings with recommendations and suggestions for improvement.

The intent is to bolster the control environment and ensure that the Control Framework is robust and functioning effectively.

Additionally this job entails the implementation of Corporate Internal Audit’s recommendations and RFC’s Internal Control Framework (along with the changes therein from time to time) and assisting processes owners to ensure compliance of the same for both.

Job description

  • Primarily responsible for planning, conducting and reporting on audit activities related to EFL under the guidance of the GM Internal Audit.
  • Assist the GM Internal Audit in the implementation of a formal system of enterprise risk identification and management.
  • This position is an important audit interface for providing advisory services to all levels of EFL.
  • Provide reasonable assurance to management by organizing regular audits that the requirements of the System of Internal Control (financial and other controls) and relevant Company policies and procedures are being complied with and recommend corrective measures in areas of non-compliance.
  • Assist in the implementation of RFC’s Internal Control Framework including annual rollouts of ICF changes from time to time.
  • These includes educating and training process owners about the requirements of the ICF.

  • Assist management to prepare and retain evidences with respect ICF Controls.
  • Assist GM Internal Audit in the carrying out Control Design Assessment (CDA). This includes detailed assessment of controls designs as prescribed by the ICF and the localization made thereof.
  • Report control design deficiency (if any) along with recommendations.

  • Perform Test of One to assess the evidence gathered during CDA is consistent with our understanding.
  • Perform Self-Assessment for controls other than those selected for independent testing and report to the region.
  • Assist the process owners in rolling out changes in ICF and facilitate independent testing.
  • Facilitate Independent Assessors in execution of annual independent testing
  • Assist CD Asia Risk & Control Manager in the assessment of the Internal Control Framework (ICF) implementation at other OpCo(s) within CD Asia BG by conducting independent testing.
  • Improve internal controls and protection of Company’s assets by analyzing existing as well as new procedures, practices, contracts, and occurrences including losses, thefts, defalcation, and making recommendations based on findings.
  • Provide guidance to management on matters pertaining to internal control.

  • Promote control awareness within the Company by periodically conducting control awareness workshops.
  • Participate in investigations as and when required by GM Internal Audit.
  • Conduct investigations on Compass Violations / suspected fraudulent activities.
  • Assist GM Internal Audit with preparation of Board of Audit Committee Packages and Notices along with actions required on comeback items from Board Audit Committee meetings.
  • Help and assist process owners create and update Standard Operating Procedures and recommend improvements.
  • Work on ad-hoc projects requested by the management.
  • Co-coordinating with (PwC External Audit) for their understanding and giving them the list of requirements.
  • Perform independent stock and fixed assets counts as per Standard Operating Procedures of the Company.
  • Perform independent verification over the completeness and accuracy of Related Party disclosures in the financial statements.
