Department Overview :

Data operations is responsible for all aspects of portfolio data exchange and support across trade processing, pricing and position data.

The group has an operational and a strategic mandate to fulfill. This is accomplished through a location strategy that combines presence in strategic locations close to our client needs and the utilization of standardization, centralization and scale in our operational Centre of Excellence (CoE) locations.

Operational :

  • Based on requests from internal Operations and Client Integration teams, manage requests for standard extracts (Spos 4x, Standard Trade, Taxlot)
  • Configuration & maintenance of electronic interfaces that exchange outbound data from Citco applications.
  • Proactive monitoring of data flows end to end data is an integral pre-cursor to Citco’s service to clients.
  • Participate with feedback and enthusiasm, challenging the status-quo and continuously strive to improve current processes.
  • Provide level one support, troubleshooting errors for custom extracts for Data Services Team
  • Setup, monitor, test & deploy file configuration and delivery (ITS) for the relevant DS enhanced custom extract
  • Strategic :

  • Provide leadership in establishing standards & benchmark in the area of portfolio data interfaces - for Citcoand the industryas a result.
  • Collaborate with Citco Technology to analyze, develop & enhance internal tools that support increased levels of automation and intuitive self-service for operations.
  • Position Overview

    The successful candidate will be part of the Data Operations Outbound Reporting team department whose primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective management of all aspects for outbound extracts to Clients and Vendors.

    He / she will be part of the Data Operations Outbound Reporting Team whose responsibility will be to ensure the effective management of all aspects for currently supported reconciliations, including data extracts, instructs, swift and payments.

    The reporting team owns the management of all aspects of client outbound reporting needs and ongoing support of interfaces including client on-boarding and client relationship management.

    As a group with representation in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America, the team provides seamless support to all CFS offices on a global basis.

    The Reporting Analyst will have the ability to follow processes and have a fundamental understanding of complex financial instruments.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, monitoring and maintaining standard extracts and provide support to business teams or clients as queries arrive .

    He / she will demonstrate ability to multi task on multiple items based on the functional priorities and objectives. The candidate will have strong communication skills, as well as technical ability to understanding the configurations and file flows involved in the role.

    Main Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Standard extracts requests and support, including investigation and management of file generation or data issues
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external parties to discuss reporting issues. This includes clients, vendors and counterparties addition to internal CFS teams.
  • Serve as point of escalation for complex incident and problem tickets.
  • Analyse requirements for custom data extract position and trade files.
  • Act as point of contact for client queries on custom extracts files relating to integrity of data.
  • Takes a proactive approach to solving issues, displays initiative and good example by contributing ideas for increased efficiencies and / or automation of the various support procedures.
  • Work closely with development, client / vendor and operations teams to schedule extract releases, changes and updates to interfaces and applications.
  • Configure and maintain reporting interfaces as per internal and external business instructions, including investigation and address post-implementation discrepancies as required.
  • Assist Management in design and implementation of workflow processes and improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies, risk mitigation, standardization and automation and work with managers and team to translate into actionable projects.
  • Assist management in the implementation of the performance management framework and the automation and measurement of KPIs.
  • Display strong solving skills. Candidates are required to research problems reported by operations teams to determine if an actual problem exists or if additional training is required.
  • When actual problem exists, they need to find workaround in a timely fashion

  • Ability to explain technical concepts to users in terms that can be easily understood.
  • Education & Experiences

  • Degree qualified in an IT / Business related discipline with a keen interest in financial services
  • Ideally, 1-3 years’ experience in an operations processing or related support environment
  • Ability to understand source systems, data dependencies, interfaces, data integration and transformation
  • General knowledge of databases or experience using SQL Server (T-SQL) and / or Visual Basic is desirable
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office application suite, specifically MS Excel
