The Role : Senior Data Specialist

The Location : Ahmedabad
The Team : Data stewardship is a functional role within the Commercial’ and that work closely with the Data Governance Office.
Data Steward coordinates with the key stakeholders across Commercial, CRM Operations, Order Management, Fulfillment, Collections, Marketing, Finance and Technology, to ensure an organization’s data is accessible, usable, safe, and trusted.
It includes overseeing every aspect of the data lifecycle : creating, preparing, using, storing, archiving, and deleting data, in accordance with an organization’s established data governance principles for promoting data quality and integrity.
The Impact : The data steward is responsible for either a specific domain or set of data. They serve as the data governance subject matter expert to the business unit they represent.
They are acting in a cross functional method through policies, processes, and procedures regarding data. They enforce these policies as appropriate and provide training and expertise wherever needed.
They serve as a business owner of the data and work to make sure that high quality data is produced.

You will be serving the organization as a Go-to experts for anything in the realm of CRM’ or Order to Cash’ data; responsible for assuring quality and trust in the data which ultimately being used to present business analytics, insights, and make critical business decisions.

Responsibilities : As a Sr. Data Specialist, you will :
Builds data strategy for one or multiple data sets
Sets standards, policies, and criteria for Data Operations in data collation, analysis, extraction, manipulation, and validation process using search tools, press releases and websites, trade documents and regulatory filings for more complex data sets
Leads the data workflow process and generates innovative ideas for research practices.
Builds business cases and gets product management support for all aspects of Content processes to ensure data sets are properly curated and nourished.
Strategically analyses complex business problems, define analysis to provide sound business decision making, across global markets and industries.
Directs project teams in analyzing process and operational changes needed across the business.
Stewards’ critical business processes, including internal controls, required to support analytical and regulatory requirements.
Uses business and operational expertise to provide direction to the design of new processes.
Leads implementation of data management systems around new datasets to generate high ROI and new revenue opportunities.
Represents both new and future customers in defining appropriate standards to measure data quality. Defines solutions to bridge and fill gaps.
What We’re Looking For : We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who can provide analytical insights on the complex business problems, also interested in forming the overall processes and data quality strategies;
Self-starter who enjoys managing their own time and tasks; Ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Basic Qualifications :
Advanced level knowledge about continuous process improvement, data quality, tools, risk & compliance, and information management practices.
Strong ability to cultivate and develop excellent working relationships with technology and product stakeholders.
Create and execute on roadmaps for major business initiatives leading towards higher quality and efficient workflows.
Responsible for entire data domain and value chain to develop and align the processes and execute with discipline.
Leads the data workflow processes and procedures. Build business cases to strengthen the data quality across domain by clearly articulating the value proposition.
Experience in developing subject matter experts and leaders with a focus on upskilling group that add values towards business and adopt best industry practices.
Proven track record of creating an inclusive performance-driven culture that drive employee engagement and aligns with S&P purpose of accelerating progress.
Strong ability to communicate embed information, business process and system wide changes to a technical and nontechnical audience.
Possess strong negotiation and persuasive skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor / Master’s degree from reputed University
10+ years of experience across OTC value chain.
Six sigma black-belt certification preferred.
Experience in managing transformational projects.
