Job Purpose :

Responsible for liaising with Central Bank, UBF governance team on new requirement & initiatives and manage and lead the delivery of the regulatory requirements in payment domain.

Should be hands on in documenting the new requirements into a business functional discussion dossier and elaborate the required changes to the Operations, business user for raising the business requirement document.

Key Result Areas :

  • Liaise with Central Bank governance team on new requirement and initiative discussions
  • Converge the requirements from CBUAE and effectively prepare the business requirement specification document for discussion with business and operations users
  • Attend the CBUAE CMG workshop on the revision in requirement, new changes expected and provide the impact, change expected in respective systems
  • Provide expertise and recommendations in the assessment of initiatives to support and enhance systems
  • Interact with the team of professionals who are responsible for payment applications support and delivery
  • Interact with the Ops and business digitization squads in the Ideation, design and delivery of automation and digitization requirement across the payments process of the bank
  • Interact with the team who are responsible for payments & trade applications support and delivery.
  • Coordinate with other inter-dependent teams for change delivery planning on digital initiatives and projects
  • Analysis of functional requirement change impact to existing systems
  • Prepare / review solution documentation (System Requirement Specifications - SRS) describing deliverables to meet requirements
  • Assist the delivery team in explaining the new business banking regulatory concept and to verify for the correct functionality / resolution developed by the team
  • Verify and review production delivery documentation
  • Maintain documentation describing custom configuration and parameterization of 3rd party provided solutions

  • Coordinate with other inter-dependent teams for change delivery planning

  • Co-ordination with business and third-party stakeholders to manage their expectation
  • Work with team members participating in shadowing and training activities

  • Involve in the business continuity and Disaster Recovery plans for applications
  • Would be interacting with the higher-level management of business users to understand their requirements and automation needs.
  • Would be responsible to users / customers for his / her are of responsibilities.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations for software / hardware upgrades.

  • Requirements

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience :

  • Minimum 8 Years of experience in Design, Development, Implementation & support line.
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly with business users and other teams
  • Ability to innovate and provide functional applications with intuitive interfaces
  • Hands on Expertise in payments application on Local GCC regulatory and Knowledge on SWIFT standards
  • Knowledge on banking business and payment processes
  • Good experience in modern programming languages / frameworks, such as Node.JS, Spring Boot, Go Lang, Elixir, Ruby on Rails, C, C++, Python.
  • Good experience and working knowledge of modern frontend JavaScript framework, such as ReactJS, AngularJS.
  • Good experience and knowledge of SQL and one common database technology, such as Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL.
  • Good experience and knowledge on RESTful APIs, LDAP, Search Technologies.
  • Real passion for development and a demonstrated appetite for continual learning
  • Familiarity with the concepts and pattern choices for Microservices is a must
  • Experiences with code refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, continuous deployment, highly scalable applications, application security
  • Working knowledge and experience in designing distributed applications
  • Working knowledge of DevOps, Pipeline, Docker, Kubernetes and infrastructure as code
  • Working knowledge and experience in developing and exposing APIs using API Connect
  • Community contributions (e.g., open source work, publishing / speaking on technical ideas) is a plus
  • Good verbal and written communication
