Rapid Innovation is recruiting for Senior Consultants to join our rapidly expanding Financial Crime Compliance team in the areas of Sanctions Compliance, KYC EDD, Transaction Monitoring in Karachi, Pakistan.
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant you could be placed in either areas of work i.e Sanctions Compliance, KYC EDD or Transaction Monitoring and you will need to :
Monitor business relations and transactions from a Due Diligence and Money Laundering / Terrorist Financing perspective on an on-going basis through the Automated Transaction Monitoring Systems.
Monitor staff transactions from an Anti-Money Laundering ( AML ) perspective.
Assign AML and Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act ( FATCA ) alerts to the AML investigators and ensure alerts are closed within a pre-defined Turn Around Time ( TAT ).
Review Sanctions related alerts generated by sanctions screening systems and approve / reject escalated instances.
Perform periodic screening of the customers and close the alerts in the system.
Review and close SWIFT sanctions alerts as per pre-defined Turnaround Time ( TAT ).
Ensure that the KYC / EDD requirements of the Bank are adhered to, at the time of customer on-boarding including verification requirements.
Conduct on-boarding for High-risk / Very High-risk individual and institutional accounts.
Ensure KYC / EDD processes have been performed as per the regulatory guidelines and internal policies and procedures.
Validate High-Risk / Very High-Risk customers’ data and supporting documentation. Ensure data is appropriately recorded and stored on internal KYC systems.

To qualify for the role, you must have
Experience in the application of KYC / CDD / EDD requirements.
Good understanding of a robust AML and CTF framework.
Independence and objectivity to evaluate compliance breaches / matters.
Ability to build a constructive and effective relationship with peers, seniors, and stakeholders.
Financial Crime and compliance knowledge, specifically AML / CFT.
In-depth understanding of Rules / Regulations relating to AML / CFT.
Experience in advising or working in a Compliance function with a focus on delivering a robust Sanctions compliance program.
Strong track record in dealing and managing regulators and other stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with impact, build healthy professional connections, influence outcomes, simplify complex topics into actionable recommendations for decision-making.
Exceptional knowledge of all aspects of Sanctions and the relevant regulatory requirements.
Exemplary knowledge and understanding of international and cross border rules and regulations (such as OFAC, UN, and EU Sanctions regimes, FATCA, FATF, and BIS).
Ability to perform innovative thinking to solve complex problems with no established precedence while balancing risk, speed, and accuracy.
Proficient in MS Office products (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ideally, you’ll also have
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Management, Banking or Finance, preferably ACAMS certification or equivalent
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a AML Compliance, Sanctions Compliance or KYC EDD role
