The Role : Manager Finance

The Grade (for internal candidates only) : 11

The Location : Islamabad, Pakistan.

Work Shift : This is a Morning shift position. You should be flexible to work on any other shift depending on the business need or work from home based on company policy.

The Team / Business : The Finance team is responsible for compliance, reporting and supporting the business operations. Finance team strives to implement effective governance and best practices while managing local financial operations including corporate accounting / reporting, compliance to policies and processes, and supports the global efforts in areas of AP, Month-end closings, Treasury, GL management, Taxation, Intercompany transactions, Fixed assets register maintenance and accounting, and any other related tasks.

The Finance team is also responsible to ensure compliance to local rules, regulations and applicable laws.

The Impact : Your role will allow the company to accurately reflect the financials of the company at local and group level.

Also, your efforts will enable the company to comply with policies, procedures, and local regulations. Furthermore, your role will support to strengthen internal controls and highlight deviations.

Most importantly, you will have to ensure the finance team provides timely support to the business users. You will be working with a small team of finance specialists to manage the local financial operations.

Responsibilities :

  • Managing financial operations including corporate accounting and reporting, account payables, fixed assets management, funding, tax filings and provident fund management.
  • Managing maintenance of company books of accounts and ensure compliance to accounting policy and local regulations (in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS and Company laws).
  • Managing month end closings and reconciliations and collaborating with regional / global teams to ensure complete and accurate reporting.
  • Managing tax (direct and indirect) reporting and compliance in line with US and local tax requirements.
  • Managing funding requirements and intercompany settlements in line with company policy and local regulations.
  • Supporting the financial controller in Global projects, corporate development and M&A projects
  • Maintain liaison with banks, auditors, tax consultants and other stakeholders.
  • Managing provident fund affairs
  • Managing internal and external audits (including tax audits)
  • Monitor compliance to policy, process and local regulations
  • Support the finance team with process improvements
  • Support the finance team with on-the-job trainings and guidance
  • What We’re Looking For :

    Basic Qualifications :

  • CA-Intermediate or ACCA qualified with minimum 3.5-year article-ship completed from a Big4 firm along with at least 7 years (post-articles) industry experience in the service industry
  • A people manager
  • Sound professional with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of managing and working with a small team of specialists
  • Strong command on MS Excel
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Good knowledge in tax laws, tax audits, tax appeals, applicable corporate laws and provident fund rules.
  • Prior working experience of managing provident funds (preferable but not mandatory)
  • Attention to detail
  • Good analytical skills
