Your responsibilities will include :
Assisting country head of security in delivering professional security advice, support and risk assessments to all its stake holders.
Taking direct responsibility and accountability for managing the security contractor and suppliers to ensure that performance and cost efficiencies are achieved in accordance with service level agreements and local regulations.
Tracking and identify security related risks and their treatments to ensure timely completion and effectiveness of solutions.
Producing necessary periodic reports and maintain all relevant documentation to evidence adherence to security management systems.
Acting as a de facto security consultant for security design and management of new and existing premises.
Handling the implementation and assisting to execute the clients’ common office access control solution. Advising on security arrangements across the property estate against security policies, especially to protect against the threat from terrorism, demonstrations, theft, stalking, damage and assault.
Supporting security projects as a project-team member and ensure that security performance is adequately monitored.
Liaising with LEAs and government agencies to ensure that the client has the most up to date information about possible security risks to the organisation, property, programmes and individuals.
In conjunction with end-users, the FM, Security Provider’ and the Management Team’, identifying short medium- and long-term security requirements and changes.
Review proposals for maintaining and improving the security regime.
Your experience, knowledge and skills need to include :
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the security field.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of security threats and risk assessment in a corporate environment.
A good working knowledge of the local laws as they apply to the use of security systems in the commercial environment.
A good know how of security systems including but not limited to Access Control, Alarms, and Video Surveillance.
A good working knowledge of Health and Safety principles and practices.
Experience of auditing and advising on security arrangements across the property estate, identifying necessary improvements, and assisting in the development of security action plans.
Experience of day to day management of the Security Contract.
Security project management experience.
Preference will be given to individuals with ex-military or law enforcement background.
Experience of Lenel Access Control implementation and operation.
Ability to prioritise tasks and deal with business-critical issues as well as conflicting demands.
Ability to manage internal stakeholders and liaise with external contacts to develop collaborative relationship.
Highly developed interpersonal skills. That will include the ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a wide range of professional and social backgrounds.
Proficient in communication skills both written and oral.
Describe, explain and discuss complex security matters and situations in a clear, concise and easy to understand manner.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and email-based products.
Flexibility to work, if necessary, outside normal working hours or during weekends or holidays as operations require.
Minimum bachelor’s degree from reputable university.
Security and health and safety related certification will be highly recommended.
