The Position :
We are seeking to hire an SQA Analyst with experience in manual testing to take on an exciting role within our busy team.
Reporting to the Development Manager, this role will be a hands-on position for our core products, collaborating with the U.
K team to help test and document new developments for our products to help ensure high quality and timely delivery of releases.
The successful hires will be located and work out of the Contour Islamabad office, working as part of the resource-centre team, as an extension of the division-based R&D department in the UK.
Preparing and writing test cases based on requirements.
Performing manual testing.
Convey unbiased advice / opinions clearly.
Documenting and communicating findings.
Verification of defects and fixes.
Defining and implementing testing strategy.
Building excellent working relationships with Development to ensure the highest possible quality.
Creating release notes for our software releases.
Creating software & feature documentation for the implementation and support teams.
2-5 years of professional experience in manual testing
University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline or equivalent industry experience .
Good knowledge of MS SQL; writing moderate queries.
Proficiency in manual testing, approaches / techniques, test planning, and execution.
Knowledge of version control software, such as SVN or Git.
Knowledge of software lifecycle specifically those areas related to testing.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016 and Windows 7, 8 and 10.
Knowledge and experience with application testing for functionality and compatibility.
Experience with issue tracking software such as JIRA, Dev Ops etc.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
Strong ability to understand business processes / logic and think outside the box for testing applications.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
