Drive supplier performance by operationalizing scorecards for the key terminal, ports and the feeder operators. Liaise with the with the relevant stakeholders to collect inputs on the suppliers to monitor supplier’s operational performance.
To assist the respective category manager to drive negotiation strategy with the key suppliers. To drive best practices inside the WCA LOC geography and among other LOCs

The position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a complex network of stakeholders, including Operations execution, commercial teams and procurement support teams thus operating in an entrepreneurial environment, with the empowerment to make decisions that benefit the overall Network and cost & service delivery targets by i) identifying the relevant performance indicators for suppliers spreading over different categories ii) defining the target against each of the indicator & iii) monitoring and driving the performance dialogue with the suppliers.
Simultaneously, you will continue to gain and hone strong negotiation skills, through daily negotiations, performance management and contingency management with the vendor universe.
Design Service Level Agreement draft and incentive / penalty scheme with various operational performance criteria viz. Crane Split, Productivity baseline / Targets, qualifying terms & conditions, incentive / penalty matrix etc.
Design and prepare negotiation strategy with Procurement Manager while establishing Service Level Agreement framework
Liaise with Marine & Scheduling Team to discuss and validate Operational Savings estimated from Service Level Agreements along with ML in-
house requirements towards compliance
To identify and define key performance parameters for the terminal, ports and feeder service providers
To prepare and operationalize frameworks (like performance scorecards) to monitor the operational performance of the key marine vendors (terminal, ports and feeders)
To work closely with the category managers, contract manager, execution teams in the LOC and the Center for the timely preparation of the scorecards
To participate in the recurring performance review meetings with the key marine vendors
To track and monitor the actions from the performance review with the key marine vendors
To work with the Digital procurement team to drive automation and digitalization of the performance scorecards using tools like Microstrategy or PowerBI
To work closely with the category managers in the negotiation preparation for the key marine vendors
To share and incorporate the best practices on the supplier performance management with / from the other LOCs
To actively assist in driving the category strategy for the terminals, feeder and ports
To develop tools and templates on the supplier performance management
We are looking for
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations, procurement or terminal operations management or related supply chain management positions
In depth working knowledge of ML vessel operation and productivity parameters including but not limited to Crane intensity, Idle time, Crane / Berth Productivity etc.
Thorough knowledge of Maersk Line operation processes
Strong communication skills towards all stakeholders and external vendors
Strong networking skills and value-based self-conduct
Perfect written & verbal communication skills
Good presentation skills
Strong command of the English language
Analytical & has a solid understanding with data when proposing solutions or resolving disputes
Ability to speak with data when proposing a solution
