PRCS Fundamental Principles
Position Objectives :
Under the overall supervision of PM-SSP, the Senior SSO will be responsible for technical guidance to the District school safety teams to ensure efficient and effective implementation of School Safety Programme (SSP) activities.
Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities
Function as a focal person at FATA provincial branch for the District school safety officers regarding the program implementation.
In close collaboration of PM-SSP, provide technical support to the SSP field staff for effective and efficient implementation of activities on regular basis.
Provide technical support to the field officers for assessments, planning and smooth implementation of SSP activities as per project plan.
provide technical support to FOs, SSCs, JYCs, ERTs for the development of school safety plan
Provide technical support to the school safety committee and the field officers in formulation of school evacuation plans.
Ensure periodic monitoring of all SSP activities in districts.
Provide quality reports including activity reports, monthly, quarterly and annual reports on PRCS Standard formats as per agreed deadlines.
Responsible to follow up of key challenges, suggested solutions and case studies reflecting good practices on regular basis.
Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly and annual project implementation plans.
Ensure timely submission of expenditure duly endorse along with complete required documentations for finance settlement.
Support the SSP field staff in developing sessions plans on School Safety and facilitate evacuation drills and simulation exercises to school children, teachers and school safety committees.
Take lead in conducting SSP baseline assessment.
Facilitate internal and external visits to the filed areas (Newely merged tribal Area).
Maintain database of JYCs, SSCs and ERTs and will update it as per need
Develop and maintain close coordination with District Administration, Education department, I / NGOs and other relevant stakeholders.
Will keep record of school safety kits and hygiene kits at district level and will be responsible of disseminating the kits to schools and students
Ensure participation in regular coordination meetings at district level and provide updates on PRCS SSP activities and seek support where needed.
Oversee and ensure the project activities are aligned with the agreed exit strategy leading towards sustainability of program interventions.
Perform other duties and functions as may be given by the PM-SSP from time to time
Masters / 16 years education in Social Science / Management or in relevant field from HEC recognized Institute / University.
Minimum 5 years of working experience in implementation of school safety, education programs and disaster management related projects.
