    The purpose of the role is to handle logistics of imports & exports of direct & In-direct spend of inshore & offshore shipments within the agreed timelines with internal and external stake holders while ensuring compliance with all the required formalities or protocols.


  • Responsible for timely processing of all logistic formalities for inbound & out shipments of raw materials, finished goods, machineries, and spare parts / CAPEX as per the organization requirements
  • Liaise / coordinates with suppliers, LSPs, freight forwarders, clearing agents, banks, govt officials and all stakeholders for all inbound & outbound shipment related matters, to support Avient’s business goals and objectives.
  • Ensure applying correct Incoterms 2020, UCP 600 and PCT procedures to optimize shipment cost and keeping visibility of end-to-end shipment process.
  • Develop freight shipment solutions for improvements and closing gaps.
  • Proactive and foresighted planning, execution and tracking of all inbound and outbound shipment with resourceful and analytical approach while engaging internal and external stakeholders correctly.
  • Responsible for managing all type of documentation and procedures (internal & external) for import & export of direct & indirect spend and logistics including banking instruments.
  • purchase orders, letter of credit, bank contracts, customer export documentation and other shipping documents etc.

  • Responsible to manage complete process of imports from creation of Purchase Order (PO) till Movement in Goods Out (MIGO) posted in system including inshore and offshore shipment, customs clearance, suppliers’ payment, and trade banking requirements etc.
  • Arrange transportation of the product from port to the plant in Karachi and Lahore based on the cost benefit analysis while ensuring compliance with all the applicable policies, protocols, and product requirements in coordination with Manager Sourcing.
  • Proactively maintain, update material landed cost in SAP system to minimize PPV in coordination with Manager Sourcing
  • Ensure timely processing of payments to local and international suppliers and receiving from export customers while taking all stakeholders on board.

  • 5-7 years of experience of handling import & export, preferably with a MNC or a large reputable organization in the Chemical industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management however MBA in Supply Chain will be an advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of MS office and hands- on experience with SAP an advantage.
  • Ability to deal with confidential matters with integrity.
  • Effective business communication skills (both oral and written).
