Legal Counsel, Compliance Officer & Company Secretary, RB Hygiene
The Legal Counsel, Compliance Officer & Company Secretary, Hygiene role is a key role, where you will provide legal advice and assistance to RB’s business operations for certain key business units.
As a part of this role, you will also lead the legal strategy and implementation of risk management processes in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
As the local Compliance Officer, you will design, lead and implement the compliance strategy to quantify, reduce and manage compliance risk within the Pakistan and Afghanistan business operations in matters such as competition law, sanctions, bribery, product safety and consumer protection, manufacturing processes and operations, data privacy, environmental legalisation and RB’s operating model.
Supporting the Compliance department on various matters, including but not limited to anti-bribery, corruption, money laundering, sanctions and investigations on Speak Up cases.
Leading competition law and data privacy-related compliance matters.
CONTENTIOUS MATTER MANAGEMENT
Leading the management of any litigation and dispute resolution and providing practical, commercial and risk-focused advice to the business.
Ensuring that cases are adequately defended before quasi-judicial forums.
Lead contract negotiations across a range of products, goods and services including inbound procurement and outbound supply services.
Effective distribution contract portfolio management.
Provide range of standard templates, processes, tools and trackers to standardise processes within the local business and improve on existing legal processes as required to enhance the transparency of the legal process with the local business and optimise legal operations.
ADVERTISEMENT DISPUTES AND MARKETING EXCELLENCE
Leading legal contact for all local advertising and marketing matters.
Providing support on advertising and marketing law including competitive product claims, pack, copy and advertising materials clearance for RB’s range of products.
Being the key lead contact for the relevant local authorities.
Leading the legal strategy for the review and approval of marketing and advertising materials and working closely with the Marketing department to ensure a timely and risk-managed approach
Reviewing and approving marketing materials claims (artwork, POSM, TVC, digital, comms).
Leading sponsorship, promotional strategies and permissions where required.
Building an effective legal and compliance training curriculum and communications and implementing the same across the MENAP business.
Leading copacker RMPM vendor supply, machinery and equipment contracts (amongst others).
L ead legal advisor for Human Resources including labour and employment issues including advising on HR processes, employee terminations / severances, settlement agreements, compensation and benefits and talent acquisition.
