Job Description

Import executive is responsible for arranging inventories with adhere to company & country policies, to plan & implement all import transportation strategies according to supplier & customer demands & administer movement of all goods & ensure compliance to all government regulation.

Should be well aware of imports laws/restriction, sound knowledge on tariff classification.

  • Responsible for imports of RM/FG/Inks/Parts/Machines with adhere to their classification & company policies /government regulation.
  • Should be excellent in making L/C & Bank Contract.
  • Should be well verse with all Import policies & Bank Procedures.
  • Should be aware of all concession agreements ( FTA/SAFTA/COO/SRO Exemption)
  • Making sure that all these import programs are in agreement with the accepted rules and regulations of the organization.
  • Making Po’s as per MRP & daily request & ensuring to send them on timely basis.
  • Follow up with supplier/forwarders/custom broker/shipping line.
  • Negotiations/meetings on quotes with forwarders/suppliers.
  • Freight comparison for assigning freight forwarder.
  • Strong Supplier correspondence.
  • Strong Forwarder correspondence.
  • Dealing with Day to Day Customs issues via advising through clearing agent.
  • Daily Consignment tracking.
  • Scrutiny of Shipping Documents.
  • Sending details of consignments to clearing Agents.
  • Verification of custom duties & sending Pay order request to Finance.
  • Follow up with clearing agent for shipment release.
  • Ensuring to in house shipment on timely basis .
  • Providing all relevant documents to Finance for remittance purpose.
  • Helping finance in relevance of any issue faced by Bank.
  • Providing Customer service & sales report of in house date of material to meet customer urgencies.
  • Provide costing to finance to receive goods in system.
  • Taking quote on new product development request receive from GPD.
  • Providing open PO report to Finance on monthly basis.
  • Keeping Track of AFE/Capex purchases separately. 
  • Responsible of damage devices to repair via export/re-import policy. 
  • Checking all relevant invoices & providing to finance.
  • Provide Saving report on monthly basis.
  • GIT report on Weekly basis.
  • Ensuring Diesel supplies & Generator Maintenance.
  • Helping in procurement of Local indirect/direct materials.
  • Maintaining all certificates to ensure compliances (Oeko-Tex-MSDS-COA Etc)
  • Ethically following trade compliance.
  • Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
    - Good knowledge and understanding of imports

  • Good Communication Skill
  • Should have handled Custom Broker
  • Experience of handling Forwarders and Shipping Lines
  • Knowledge of Advance License and duty benefits
  • Worked with manufacturing industry
  • Relationship Building Skills
  • Analytical Skill and Proficiency in Computers
  • Knowledge of Trade Compliance

  • Qualifications

    MBA in Supply Chain

    1 Years - 2 Years (experience in import /export end to end process.)
