The main aim of the FAO country offices, which are headed by an FAO Representative, is to assist governments to develop policies, programmes and projects to achieve food security and to reduce hunger and malnutrition, to help develop the agricultural, fisheries and forestry sectors, and to use their environmental and natural resources in a sustainable manner.
Under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative in Pakistan, the direct supervision of the Assistant FAO Representative (Programme) and in close coordination with Statistician and National Focal Point for Food Security and Nutrition Information System, the Information Management Assistant will undertake the following duties :
Tasks and Responsibilities
Collect and enter secondary data related to food security, nutrition, prices, economy, poverty, food prices, agriculture statistics etc into the Food Security and Nutrition Information System (FSNIS) web base
Support in management of the FSNIS website, including posting updates and providing support for stakeholders in using the website
Prepare information management products (info graphs, dashboards, maps etc)
Support in data analysis for FSNIS analytical products
Support in organizing capacity building trainings related to FSNIS
Support in organizing different activities (e.g. Meetings, Training / Workshops / Seminars) related to FSNIS
Prepare different documents (e.g. Correspondence, Agendas, Minutes, and Event Programs etc.) for activities related to FSNIS

Technical / Functional Skills
Ability as well as experience to engage professionally with a wide range of stakeholders and people of different national and cultural backgrounds and have strong communication skills and strong spirit of teamwork.
