Offerings encompass digital and connected innovations for low- and medium-voltage, including EV infrastructure, solar inverters, modular substations, distribution automation, power protection, wiring accessories, switchgear, enclosures, cabling, sensing and control.

You will be working as a Service Sales Specialist and will be a part of the Electrification Business for Distribution Solution business line based in Karachi, Pakistan.

In this role you will be driving service sales process in collaboration with the Line Manager. Generating service sales opportunities and secure profitable sales within the designated area(s).

Focusing on installed base penetration (IB) and sell the entire service product portfolio in collaboration with other ABB service units.

Building long term customer relationships and ensure immediate response to specific customer needs and issues.

Your responsibilities

  • Service Sales Delivery : Collaborating with the Line Manager and Service Manager to implement service sales strategy. Penetrating IB, promote various upgrade, retrofit and value add solutions to the benefit of the customer and ABB.
  • Understanding the channel strategy and the establishment of related prices and prepare sales plans, reviews them and proposes recovery plan(s) when needed.

    Updating installed base in service (the approved service database) with the changes made at site.

  • Volume and Profit : Utilizing service to understand the existing installed base (IB) and identify and develop sales opportunities for service products and solutions to penetrate the existing IB or new IBs in the market.
  • Focusing on the entire service portfolio to secure profit for assigned Business Lines or Product Groups.

  • New Opportunities : Generating service sales leads and develop new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information, identifying and exploring potential new service portfolios.
  • Taking a One ABB approach to leverage other colleagues’ portfolios.

  • Customer Approach : Establishing long term customer relationships by understanding customer requirements and applicable regulations and demonstrating in-
  • depth technical service product or solutions knowledge to promote Life Cycle Management (LCM). Registering customer feedback and ensures customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

  • Sales Process : Selling entire service product portfolio to expand ABB footprint in the designated area(s). Charting out and monitor sales proposals, tenders and follow up proposal statistics.
  • Preparing ABB’s service offerings based on customer need and in coordination with the local Service Sales Manager or Service Manager.

    Communicating contract details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy. Managing administrative sales processes.

  • Marketing : Acting as a marketer or salesperson of ABB’s service products and solutions during marketing activities (trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings).
  • Translating the needs of customer into relevant ABB Service offerings and solutions.

  • Your background

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales service role for ELDS business products like Low voltage and medium voltage switchgear and transformers.
  • Required skills in customer relations with mature selling behavior and actively driving discussions and negotiations to the benefit of the customer and ABB business.
  • Good communication and presentation skills is required.
