We are expanding our MENA FAAS COE in Karachi, Pakistan,providing an opportunity to work on MENA projects and deal with MENA clients.

This can provide lots of learning and development prospects as well as thechance to travel to the MENA region.

Your keyresponsibilities

In this role you’ll workdirectly with and lead a wide range of projects across several industries toassess the impact of new accounting standards, proposed transactions or otherregulatory changes.

Specifically you’ll build and maintain strong networksinternally and externally in order to grow the pipeline of FAAS work, reportdirectly to Managers, Senior Managers, Directors and Partners at the planning,execution and wrap-up stages of FAAS engagements, coach and mentor junior teammembers and conduct performance review by contributing to performancefeedbackfor staff and ensure work is of ahigh quality, delivered in a timely fashion and in compliance with EY policies.

Business development will also form part of your role.

Working with other EYlocations, service lines and specialists to deliver a fully integrated serviceoffering is integral, as is monitoring engagement economics against keyfinancial metrics and managing the appropriate internal and externalstakeholders.

You’ll be expected toidentify and communicate relevant trends, developments and key performancedrivers relevant to the client, consult withappropriate resources on complex accounting issues, ensure that the FAAS workproducts meet the needs and expectations of clients are clear, accurate andwell presented, ensure work is delivered timely and in compliance withregulatory requirementsand deliver effective execution of the FAASservice delivery framework.

Pro- activity, accountabilityand results- driven people will flourish in this environment. Dealing withcompeting priorities, understanding how to manage resources and communicatingeffectively are key skills.

To qualify for the role, you must have

Completed professional qualification (ACCA, ACA,CPA)

At least seven years of experience with a Big 4 firm

Experience in technical accounting, particularly withnew IFRS such as IFRS 9, 15, 16 and 17 (end to end including gap analysis,impact assessment, implementation, trainings etc.)

Experience of preparing carve out and proformafinancials and financial and cash flow projections

Experience drafting policies and procedures, delegationof Authority (DOA), ICFR / COSO implementation and audit, chart of accounts, andmanagement reporting

Experience with SQL, data analytics anddashboards, such as Power BI

Ideally, you’ll also have

Track record with a big 4 accounting firm

Sector experience in one or more of thefollowing : Construction, Energy, Financial Services, Government & PublicSector, Healthcare
