Key Requirements :

To successfully provide project management, construction management & procurement management for small to large fit out / interior design projects

Main tasks and responsibilities :

A self-motivated and driven individual who is able to independently manage a range of different projects within a fit out environment.

A full appreciation of HSE requirements in a construction environment is essential. Projects could include new constructions or renovation of offices, asset or equipment changes or replacements and ground works.

The works mainly exist of :

  • Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances.
  • Creates action plans to meet objectives, budget and schedule.

  • Understand all aspects of construction (FIDIC) & consultant contracts and the commercial, financial, technical and legal application thereof to the benefit of all contracting parties and project disciplines
  • Handle and manage Project RFQs, commercial evaluations, PO award and PO administration to final delivery and PO close out.
  • Monitor and supervise the project execution process on site to ensure completion of the job within specified time frames, in an organized and cost effective manner, in accordance with the approved design and quality standards so as to meet customers satisfaction and maintain continuity of business.
  • Examine the drawings, assess the material requirements, approve and submit the material requisition accurately so as to facilitate purchase of appropriate quantities of materials.
  • Develop the project program (in Microsoft project) and based on the schedules mentioned assess the critical milestones for the job.
  • Coordinate with the client and consultant on all issues pertaining to the drawings, plans, schedules and problems for quick resolution of all issues.
  • Monitor progress against the project plan and keep the client updated on the progress taking quick corrective action where required.

  • Conduct quality checks on works carried out to ensure that the products meet all client specifications. Coordinate with the municipality agencies during spot checks on the site and ensure adherence to Quality, Health and Safety regulations on all assigned sites.
  • Supervise the site regularly; attend to all technical and engineering problems, additional manpower requirements, drawing changes, etc.
  • in an effective and timely manner thereby achieving client requirements and quality standards.

  • Ensure health and safety measures are strictly followed at site.
  • Coordination between client, site, sub-contractors & suppliers. Negotiation of prices with subcontractors & suppliers and various project stakeholders.
  • Monitor and review market conditions and price & delivery trends for Project materials and equipment's.
  • Provide support to project cost controls in procurement related activities, bid versus buy analysis and the preparation of cash flow plans for project purchases orders
  • Further :

  • Responsible for the HSE performance of all GWS personal and (sub) contractors on-site with full adherence to CBREs HSE requirements.
  • Execute internal CBRE PjM requirements (account playbooks)
  • Participate, contribute to and lead the meetings specified in the contract
  • Document and follow up all financial issues related to the project
  • Competencies

    The Project Manager gives functional leadership to all personal involved and is responsible for projects up to the value of $2m.

    The candidate must be able to demonstrate technical competency particularly within a fit out environment. HAVING PREVIOUS FIT OUT EXPERIENCE WITH MULTINATIONAL & LOCAL CLIENTELE IS A MUST.

    Have a high level of financial and commercial acumen and the ability to understand key performance metrics. They must have excellent people skills and the ability to motivate individuals within a matrix management structure.

    Education / Knowledge / Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture with 5+ years of experience.
  • Further Project Management specific qualification an advantage, with at least 2 years project management experience
  • LEED AP is a definite plus
  • Substantial hands-on project management delivery experience within the interior design / fit out industry.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and co-ordination skills
  • Technical skills particularly focused around FFE (furniture, fixture & equipments)
  • Language skills : English
