Purpose of the Job Afiniti Global Network Operations Team (GNOC) is highly specialized and designed to deliver high availability services and support for enterprise network infrastructure.
GNOC team manages network connectivity for Afiniti Data Center, Afiniti global offices and between Afiniti and clients through VPN / MPLS setup, IPSec Tunnels, secure remote access circuit, error free 24 / 7 remote access connectivity ensuring security policies & standards.
GNOC designs network infrastructure for all Afiniti sites and datacenters while ensuring network security at every layer.
GNOC Operations is responsible for proactive network management, stakeholder’s engagement and strategic resolution of incidents and faults in remote access connectivity.
GNOC team keeps active communication with all deployment stakeholders and ensure deployment of faultless remote access and end to end connectivity.
Networks high level objectives are as follows :
Ensure remote access circuit’s readiness & end-to-end security.
Ensure redundancy in remote access circuits, transmission media and service provider level to avoid interruptions in client’s contact center operations
Maintain our target EBR gain by ensuring minimum time to restore network & security services
Ensure continual service improvements (CSI)
Networks major KPIs are as follows :
Incident Response Time : Time interval between incident detected / reported and response initiated - MTBF (Mean time between Failure)
Incident Resolution Time (Shared KPI with internal teams) : MTTR (Mean Time to Repair)
CSI : Constantly monitoring Bandwidth Consumption, RTT, MTU, Reliability, Load and Routing
Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wired / wireless LAN)
Perform network maintenance and upgrades including Network / Inter-Network Operating Systems, patches and security configurations
Monitor performance and ensure network availability, security and reliability
The design and implementation of new solutions and improving resilience of the current environment
Monitor network uptime, network resources’ utilization, trending, and capacity planning
Provide Level 2 and Layer 3 support and troubleshooting to resolve Tier-1 till Tier-2 issues
Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the Afiniti Information Security Department
Securing network and communication systems by establishing and enforcing policies and implementing access control
Communicating with customers / clients around the globe via email, phone and video conferencing for initial network requirement capture, configuration, troubleshooting and commissioning
Liaison with vendors and other internal IT personnel for issue / problem resolution
Constant contact with Information Security Department to ensure seamless mitigation of security risks over Network and Communication infrastructure
Monitoring network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability
Ensure within established configuration and change management policies / practices, approvals and success of changes made to the network infrastructure

Bilingual communication English and excellent analytical skills
The ideal candidate will have
4 to 7 years of experience in network, security and communications in a reputed multinational company.
Well versed in network administration (WAN, MPLS, routers, switching, firewalls, distributed switch networks).
In-depth practical knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols & technologies that includes : VLANs, CDP, LLDP, UDLD, STPs, VPNs, QoS, IPSec, OSPF, BGP, ACLs, WiFi (802.
11x), HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, EtherChannels, LACP, PAgP, VTPv1 / v2 / v3, collaboration etc.
In-depth knowledge of SNMP v2 & v3, IPv4 and IPv6 DHCP, Network Time Protocol (NTP), NTP authentication, IPv4 Network Address Translation (NAT) - Static NAT, dynamic NAT, PAT, IP SLA and Cisco NetFlow.
Data center protocols to meet deployment requirements that are - Fabric Path, Multiprotocol BGP , OTV, VXLAN, LISP, VPC / VPC+.
Worked on device and routing virtualization in a data center - VDC and VRF.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor of Engineering (or higher) in Computer Science or related disciplines
