ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The Search Engine Marketing Specialist will be an integral part of GBS’s digital team, responsible for planning, implementing, and optimizing search and other digital campaigns in support of key business objectives, including reach and conversion across digital properties.
This position will be reporting to the digital delivery lead in Pakistan. The Search Marketing Specialist will be responsible for campaigns on key platforms for certain end markets and / or regions.
A successful candidate will have basic comprehension of applied marketing strategies, strong analytical thinking, and enthusiasm to learn the business and drive measurable results.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
Search Media Strategy
Manage the company’s overall paid, owned and earned search media strategy.
Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all paid and organic search strategies supporting the GBS digital team.
Serve as the GBS’s subject matter expert on all things search and keep abreast of industry trends and developments in SEM and display space, presenting and recommending new opportunities for growth in these channels.
Paid Search Media
Develop and optimize ongoing pay-per-click search advertising campaigns for the markets and specific products.
Implement and manage all aspects of paid search campaigns, including keywords, ad copy, bidding strategies and budgets.
Owned & Earned Search Media
Manage and assist in the ongoing creation, editing, management, organization, and optimization of web and other digital content.
Partner with internal stakeholders on ongoing SEO and leverage best practices to optimize marketing content across channels including PR, social media, website, blog, email, etc
Develop reports and dashboards that drive meaningful insights. Interpret data and share actionable insights with internal stakeholders.
Analyze and report on performance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and SEM / SEO performance through search management platforms to ensure proper information distribution and accurate trend forecasts.
Gather, interpret, and deliver communications performance data using tools such as SharePoint, Google Analytics, marketing automation platforms, etc.
Develop metrics and recommendations and provide analysis of website and other digital marketing activity performance
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
6+ years digital marketing, preferably in a digital agency
Strong interpersonal and exceptional written / verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to be creative, analytical, and think outside the box to solve problems and secure opportunities.
Highly Proficient in Google Analytics, AdWords, Tagging, Bing Ads etc. Certifications a huge plus.
Strong organizational and writing skills and a strong technical mind with the ability to quickly extract, synthesize, and relay key information from multiple sources without becoming overwhelmed.
Ability to develop metrics, build executive summaries and communicate business and technology insights.
Strong project management and time management skills
