Country HR Manager
The Country HR Manager ensures daily steering of HR activities in the country organization to deliver on our customers’ high expectations and in line with budget.
Brings the HR strategy and targets to life by developing, implementing and maintaining the HR / Attract to Grow processes and HR services in line with the global Center of Expertise (CoE) processes and the Global Business Services (GBS) Service Catalogue.
Provide leadership, management and oversight to the Country HR organization and to the Country Leadership Team on the execution of the HR strategy in the country.
Build and maintain capability of the Country HR organization.
HR Business Partnering
Provides HR partnership & expertise to the Business Management Team in achieving their business agenda for the country, including but not limited to workforce planning, organizational design and performance management.
Responsibilities :
The Country HR Manager is responsible for the performance and management of the Country HR organization, ensuring SLA / KPI defined service delivery to management and employees of AkzoNobel.
Country HR Manager :
Builds close, efficient and effective working relationships with customers, HR Business Partners, Centre of Expertise (CoEs) and People Services locally, in the region and globally to support the organization better together as a 1HR
Grows the individuals and the teams by clear feedback, trust, focusing on strengths and a climate where learning from mistakes and continuous improvement is the norm.
Deploys and implements the Country HR Strategy and prioritize HR projects, in line with the business, corporate and regional HR strategy
Provides input to regional HR Strategy from a country perspective
Consults and actively provides HR functional perspective on topics such as transformation, M&A and joint ventures
Drives the HR Operating Model in the Country, standardization and harmonization of processes and conditions in the country, including change management, standardization and harmonization of HR practices
Responsible for annual country HR budget, follow up of actual costs and for taking applicable actions when required from a cost perspective
Ensures optimal alignment and collaboration with the Business / Functions
Manages and channels performance feedback and ensures continuous improvement of the HR delivery, in and beyond own country
Manages Industrial / Labor Relations, legal entity matters, pension fund ownership and Collective Agreement in line with BU / Function needs and global template to ensure the position of AkzoNobel is optimally leveraged
Drives compliance of process and behaviors following internal (eg AkzoNobel Code of Conduct) and external requirements, regulations and best practices
Ensures appropriate positioning of our Employer Value Proposition (EVP) in the country, as well as advocate for Diversity & Inclusion
HR Business Partnering :
Provides HR partnership & expertise to the Business Management Team in achieving their strategic country business agenda
Acts as coach and counsel to country leaders to create the right culture and organizational model. Challenges management and act as a mirror (incl.
employee engagement, Values and Leadership Behaviors and drive a strong performance management culture
Supports with Workforce Planning to build a strong and sustainable human capital to support the strategy and further growth of the country organization
Supports and coaches’ leaders to identify, calibrate, develop, and deploy talent across the organization. Identify, evaluate, and manage talent risks
Facilitates workshops to drive a culture of healthy, sustainable, high performance
Drives BU / Function specific initiatives to support functional and business growth and transformation, working closely with the strategic HRBPs
Education and experience :
Bachelor / academic background with deep functional knowledge and HR expertise
Proven track record in delivering results in an international matrix organization
Proven track record in handling labour relations / grievances at national level
Demonstrable experience in overcoming obstacles to achieve longer term goals with a continuous improvement mindset
Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to drive and implement change in the organization
Leading and developing teams and individuals in such way that the total is bigger than the sum of the individuals
Good at stakeholder management, coaching and influencing
Empathic with clear communication, presentation and facilitation skills
