The Perseus Operating Group, a division of Constellation Software (TSX : CSU), is seeking an energetic, independent, and experienced Finance Coach to join our Contour office.
The individual will split their time between coaching and administrating a growing team of approximately 100 resources and providing finance support to our Corporate Finance teams.
Team management responsibilities will include coaching and mentoring staff through routine 1 on 1 meetings, assisting with hiring and performance management, managing the ratings process, providing regular training and development.
It's imperative that the coach plays a role of a bridge between the employee and the management. Further, the individual will be expected to assist with compensation decisions and therefore will need to understand and communicate local market trends and standards to the management.
To effectively manage and lead the team, it is imperative that this individual spend a portion of their time in a Financial Analyst capacity working and supporting our Corporate Finance teams.
This will allow the individual to learn our business, best practices, financial processes, systems, and expectations placed on staff.

Core Responsibilities :
Manage a growing team of approximately 100 employees.
Be a bridge between the onshore managers and senior management keeping a proactive approach towards the entire employee life cycle.
Coach and mentor staff through 1 on 1 meetings to ensure continuity of monthly check-ins with the employees of Corporate Finance Teams (once a month with each employee).
Assist with hiring, onboarding, monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that the proper tools are in place to support the team and the processes.
Manage the ratings process; ensure ratings are completed timely and include constructive feedback.
Delivering tools and training to support managers for the annual review process.
Having meetings with managers on the annual review process to ensure they understand the process
Ensure that the Corporate Finance employees are well versed on the rating and career advancement structure.
Develop and facilitate the subject matter experts to deliver regular training and development for employees; pro-actively identify areas for development.
Assist with compensation decisions and therefore will need to understand and communicate local market trends to senior management.
Conduct exit interviews and analyze staff turnover while creating a forecast of the employee retention and employee turnover.
Share best practices and Assist in write-ups of new policies and process documents.
Provide feedback on Staff Utilization to onshore managers.
Keep records and document the work / career journey of each employee that falls under corporate finance and prepare appropriate reports.
Education and Technical Skills :
Bachelor or Master's in Accounting, Finance or HR
Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience from public accounting or a similar corporate finance / accounting environment demonstrating a knowledge of accounting guidance and methodology.
Certification in Coaching or Neurolinguistic Programming
Minimum of 5 years of coaching large, diverse, and high performing teams
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including sophisticated Excel workbooks and PowerPoint.
Experience with accounting technology including automated solutions and ERPs for general ledgers preferred but not required.
The ability to manage, develop and implement best practices.
Ability to plan, coordinate and execute the month-end close schedule, including timeline development and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
Ability to adhere to regulations and standards and the coaching process
