About the Role :
As Head of Mass Transit for Pakistan you will have complete ownership and responsibility for Careem Bus operations, commercials and strategy in the country.
What you will do :
You will have a practical understanding of mass transit and public transit, where it currently stands in different parts of the world, how its evolved to this stage and what are the challenges that need to be solved to disrupt this space.
Coupled with an understanding of marketplaces, you will bring this understanding to develop Careem Bus operations in Pakistan.
Create and manage the implementation of a commercial strategy to achieve business goals within given restraints.
Manage the portfolio of different segments within the Mass Transit vertical.
Manage the PnL and commercials for the complete business unit through a solid understanding of the different stages of maturity the business will go through as it scales.
You will create and foster a strong team with a Growth mindset. As such you are expected to have experience of managing teams and a good understanding of the principles of forming high performing teams.
You will be natural at lean methodology, especially as it relates to running and scaling startups. You will continuously improving the business viability, financials and economic model.
Managing a wide range of stakeholders both inside and outside the organization to rally behind your strategy and streamline the operations for your team.
Manage the marketing communications, strategy and operations. You will have to bring a growth hacking approach to marketing, a good understanding of digital and performance marketing.
Develop the latticework of administration, playbooks, SOPs to support your organization.
Ideal Candidate :
Technical + Business Degree
5-10 years of experience, ideally with experience in tech businesses.
Strong analytic and quantitative acumen.
Stakeholder management and communications.
Understanding of organizational design and operating systems.
Balance of good strategic and operational skillsets.
