Job Description

This post holder serves as the first point of contact between patients or visitors and the Hospital. Its main purpose is to provide an enjoyable customer experience.

Support smooth operations by competently performing various routine clerical, secretarial & administrative duties such as answering phone calls, receiving patients, clients and guests, providing basic information about our services to patients or clients, scheduling patient and other appointments, capturing patient data & other customer information.

As post holder, you are responsible for the tasks such as but not limited to :

  • Greet patients and check them in and out efficiently
  • Schedule hospital admissions, tests, scans and outside appointments for patients
  • Schedule patient’s appointment and move patients through appointments as scheduled
  • Quickly and efficiently address patient queries by relaying needed information to the patient, e.g. wait time, payment processes, test information, pre-investigation instructions etc.
  • in a pleasant & professional manner in order to enhance patient’s satisfaction and make them feel valued

  • Keeping patient appointments on schedule by informing appropriate clinical staff of patients’ arrival or reminding them of patient build-up and service delays
  • Issue receipts of payment to patients or their families for such payments
  • Balance the daily sales account at the end of each day with the Cashier; immediately reporting all discrepancies found within the day
  • Scan documents, distribute forms and paperwork to patients and check them over to ensure that required fields are completed properly
  • Maintains stock of forms and office supplies
  • Ensure reception area is well maintained, neat and clean
  • Replying to inquiries in a detail-oriented and effective manner, while corresponding with phone calls within minimum rings in polite, consistently professional manner using proper etiquette
  • Answer phones promptly and professionally; direct calls to appropriate departments
  • Information collection and management, and monitor data efficiency
  • Addressing patients & visitors, in person or on telephone; answering or referring inquiries
  • Planning, organizing, and schedule tasks and activities
  • Develop good relationships with a focus on achieving patient’s satisfaction
  • Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations
  • Adjust approach to meet changing demands & situations including dealing with diverse people
  • Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, & financial information
  • Mentor and coach new employees and to support the induction process
  • To carry out staff probation reviews, complete & develop staff performance review plans where needed
  • Ensures availability of treatment information by filing & retrieving patient records
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support BIH Mission, Vision & Values
  • Qualifications

    Academic Qualification : Preferably Bachelor’s or Intermediate

    Experience : 2 years of work experience in the related field
