About the Job :
The Instructional Design Manager will lead the development, design, and maintenance of learning solutions for sales and CS teams at KeepTruckin.
This position will report into the Head of Enablement and lead a team of content developers, a project manager and an LMS administrator.
The chosen candidate will participate in global, cross-functional initiatives to ensure successful learning content development and deployment.
He or she will also regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the training curriculum by creating and implementing measures to track outcomes and ensure alignment to business objectives.
A primary responsibility will also be to build and maintain trust and credibility with internal stakeholders and team members while leveraging strong project management, time management, & problem-solving skills.
Leads the design and creation of engaging learning experiences that include eLearning programs, videos, digital training, virtual instructor-led materials, Lunch and Learns, for all KeepTruckin training programs.
Works closely with onshore and offshore Sales and CS leaders, Enablement Leadership team, Enablement facilitators, Coaching and Voice of Customers to conduct training needs analysis to determine training solutions and / or make recommendations to business process improvement or metrics that align withKeepTruckin’s strategic goals.
Designs and manages the development of a Continued Education Training program(s) for all Sales and CS reps and managers in KeepTruckin.
Designs and manages the development of a Sales and CS Management Training program for all offshore managers at KT
Develops course descriptions, learning models and training programs utilizing information from subject matter experts to deliver effective Sales and CS training and on-going competency development.
Monitors Instructional Design deliverables to project scope and requirements and serves as a strategic instructional development resource to Sales and CS Enablement team iat KeepTruckin
Designs and participates in the implementation of all learning strategies including change management plan, pilot workshops, train-the-trainer of new initiatives, refresher training, and core onboarding offerings.
Creates evaluation plans to measure the impact of training and sets guidelines for business impact and risk assessment evaluations.
Manages training projects using sound project management tools and methods and oversees project groups.
Support maintenance of all learning content in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up business environment
Contribute to the development of strategic plan(s) to include the development of content for all training from new hire training to advanced training for instructor led training and virtual training
Coach and mentor members of the content development team and provides direction to stakeholders while creating a positive and motivating environment
Work with cross functional teams, including Sales, CS, Marketing, Product and Operations in the creation and implementation of long-term training plans to ensure business goals are being achieved
Apply standard business procedures to training design, including : SOPs, Ethics and Compliance
Leverage best practices, design ideas, and technologies for all blended learning methods
Incorporate adult learning principles and cutting-edge learning methods & technology that drive continuous improvement
Re-purpose assets whenever possible to ensure efficiency
Implement established life-cycle management of learning assets
Collaborate with Continu representatives to ensure content is all available on the LMS and is designed to support training and corporate strategies
Provide ongoing communications regarding the training programs and initiatives throughout the organization
Regularly research and incorporate new and relevant training approaches and industry best practices to create and maintain a best in class program
At least 4-6 years of experience designing clear, engaging, purposeful, and culturally competent online content and in-person learning experiences
At least 4-6 years of experience in Sales Enablement, preferably in a facilitator or instructional designer capacity
Masters degree in education, instructional design or psychology
Exceptional writer who expresses ideas clearly and simply and has strong design instincts
Experience in design thinking methodology and human-centered design
Competent in synthesizing different kinds of data - observations, user interviews, research, feedback, and quantitative data - to determine root problems and key improvements to make in instructional designs
In the midst of ambiguity and complexity, finds a way to move forward purposefully and decisively
Fluent with technology and experience creating content on learning management systems and content editors
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence and motivate colleagues to execute designs
Ability to create, manage, and follow through on projects with strong attention to detail and deadlines
Highly motivated, self-directed, results-oriented, data-driven, and curious
Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to meet team goals and achieve impact
