ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
Support the effective marketing focus (EMF2) process via solid business planning. This includes a combination of accurate forecasting and a process driven approach to S&OP consistent with the company’s overall marketing strategy
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
Lead on the evaluation of the external environment, industry, and competitors’ strategy / activities / financial state to identify key opportunities / threats for BAT.
Gather and assess market information, generating consumer insights on market trends and business opportunities
Lead Competitor Intelligence with cross-functional team to collect / analyze competitor information and connect with insights team to further understand competitors’ impact to the consumers and market / industry.
Prepare, effectively analyze, and report the key company performance indicators in a timely manner.
Lead the reporting with applicable narratives for weekly drumbeat for facilitating commercial decisions. Proactively make recommendation to the leadership team to what we need to do both for short and long term based on external environment.
Interpret local and Global trends, including industry, economic, social, and political trends. Need to provide expert advice and support to effectively monitor competitive activity globally, especially for KT&G as Korea being their home market.
Ensure that all relevant marketing information is available to meet company business needs and that this is effectively communicated to the Management Team through weekly and monthly reporting.
Establish strong network at Region and Area head office / other end markets. Ensures effective relations within the Area SP&I team and cross functional networking to ensure gathering and effective analysis of information.
Support NAA Group Manager with relevant marketing insights and information platform to drive business decisions based on consumer trends.
Coach, motivate, monitor, and evaluate performance of direct report constantly, so that the direct report will continuously strive for higher work performance.

Do you have proven experience in strategic role with cross-functional and cross-market exposure?
Do have strategic planning and financial background?
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE .
At least 5 years of work experience in a strategic role with cross-functional, cross-market exposure is necessary
Should have excellent commercial acumen, ideally a strategic planning and financial background
Strong analytical / interpretative skills are desired
Strong understanding of market size determinants, own volume drivers, share growth generators and how these flow into the P&L, including competitors
The ability to turn raw data into clear and concise outputs that are valuable to the business the "so what" factor.
Good at turning concepts and big picture into detailed actions and targets for example External environment, Competitor intelligence, new strategies
The ability to look across the Area and see inconsistencies in data or strategy
Display leadership qualities.
High integrity and honesty.
Competent speaking and writing skill in English
Ability to manage multiple work streams at the same time.
Basic project management skills
Consumer marketing experience
