Job Description

  • Working closely with departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to
  • Understand and implement policies and procedures;
  • Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organization;
  • Liaising with a wide range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance and healthand safety;
  • Preparing job adverts, checking application forms, short listing, interviewing and selecting candidates;
  • Undertaking regular salary reviews;
  • Maintaining employee records;
  • Interpreting and advising on employment law;
  • Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures;
  • Planning, and sometimes delivering, training, including inductions for new staff;
  • Job Specification

  • A degree in HR or Business Administration
  • Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and people management skills
  • Positive attitude and good learning abilities
  • Motivated and ambitious to make a career in Human Resources
  • Good MS Office and basic computing skills. Spreadsheet and data analysis skills would be a plus
