GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES :

The Communication, Media, & Performance department at Framingham State University seeks one or more part-time faculty with expertise in film and video production to teach one or both of the following classes in the Fall semester of 2022 : Introduction to Film Production and Visual Communication.

Candidates must have a Master's Degree and college teaching experience. FSU is an equal opportunity employer.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED :

Report to Chair of Communication, Media & Performance department

EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Instruct students in the basics technologies, theories and production practices of single-camera, 'short subject' location filmmaking.

Support students as they write scripts, choose shots, direct actors to record motion picture and audio elements. Instruct students on AVID and / or other editing software.

Requirements :

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Masters degree and demonstrated expertise in film / video production.

Experience with or a demonstrated willingness to participate in teaching, mentoring, research, or service activities that promote the growth of an equitable, diverse, and inclusive academic environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Experience teaching college-level courses.
