POSITION TITLE Analyst Treasury Operations PURPOSE OF THE JOB :

Processing, reporting and coordination of company payments which includes both government authorities such as Excise departments and local / Foreign vendors.

Ensuring all accounts are appropriately funded so as to make the payments in a timely manner.

Ensuring proper documentation of payment proposals so as to meet local audit requirements.

ACCOUNTABILITIES :

ACCOUNTABILITY 1 Execution of vendor payments (including excise) & Service payments (foreign payments).

Ensure that all documentation for imports and exports comply with State bank's prudential regulations.

Review & execute payment documents prepared by Treasury Executives (L / C form, Instruction Letter for Opening of LC / Contract, Performa Invoice, etc).

Response to any queries related to imports / exports / services from banks / State Bank of Pakistan.

Active analysis of FX market to avail best rates and provide savings in FX costs.

ACCOUNTABILITY 2 Process payment runs in SAP & E-Banking platform.

Responsible for booking monthly accruals / actuals related to interest, bank charges & intercompany financing.

Providing FX rates to update in OB08 for Accounts Payable team.

Preparation of Vendor Taxes and filing.

  • Monitor and prepare monthly reconciliations of treasury related GL accounts for timely submission to financial accounting;
  • and take corrective actions in case of any discrepancy.

    ACCOUNTABILITY 3 Coordination with Insurance and Leaf Treasury so as to make necessary payments and fund transfers in a timely manner.

    Responsible for intercompany loan injection, roll over and maturities.

    Responsible for weekly GTS reporting to timely communicate region of Bank balances.

    Ensuring proper reasoning behind funds in Running Finance and saving accounts ACCOUNTABILITY 4 Relationship management with Banks.

    Responsible for management of funds in line with AFP and local guidelines to ensure smooth running of business operations.

    Arranging short terms loans by negotiating rate of interest with banks, maintaining complete documentation and recording of transactions in financial records.

    Develop effective relationships with the banks, specifically State Bank of Pakistan, as business partners and ensure effective coordination to achieve the best level of services for the company.

    Act as a bridge between the internal stakeholders and the partner banks.

    ACCOUNTABILITY 5 Ensure adequate coverage for company assets via accurate Insurance evaluations.

    Assisting Supervisor in RFP for Vehicles on an annual basis.

    Processing of claims, and follow-ups.

    ACCOUNTABILITY 6 Owner of all Process Improvement Projects related to Payments as decided annually in objective setting meeting.

    This would include analysis of current situation, evaluation of available solutions and execution implementation of the chosen solution.

    Evaluate and identify new banking products and services.

    ACCOUNTABILITY 7 Coordination with external auditors on treasury related matters at half yearly reviews and annual audits and communication with banks and other third parties for any treasury related matter.

    ACCOUNTABILITY 8 Ensure strict adherence to PMI Treasury best practices and policies and sufficient controls to avoid any risk to company liquid assets.

    Ensure compliance to SOX requirements and conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential control gaps and provide treasury management with regular updates and proposed action plans.

    Review and maintain all financial agreements & other contractual obligations.

    Ensure bank signatories are timely updated to ensure smooth business operations.

    Business Graduate / ACCA Work experience :

    Atleast 3-5 years of relevant experience Functional Skills :

    Understanding of accounting concepts.Time and work management skills that ensure workload is managed and deadlines met according to agreed priorities Attention to detail and application of techniques to ensure data accuracy Language Skills Level :

    English Fluent, Urdu Fluent PC skills :

    Excel, Word, Powerpoint
