Yousuf Adil Chartered Accountants is looking for the position of Assistant Manager Financial Risk and Regulatory Advisory SAP for its Karachi office.
This role expects the candidate to apply functional and technical knowledge of SAP tools, systems and processes (General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Treasury, Revenue Accounting etc).
The candidate will be responsible to
Assist clients with the challenges surrounding GL and management reporting
Develop and review policy and procedures, including process maps across accounting, operational and technical domains
Provide insights on key risks and challenges in ERP / Financial system implementation projects
Assist clients with identifying their accounting / reporting challenges by carrying out root cause analysis and developing solution for the same.
Assist the team manager for engagement planning and overall project management
Assist the team and client with preparation of Business Requirement Document (BRD) encapsulating all requirements from business stakeholders
Assist clients with preparing financial statements as per applicable accounting framework
Contribute to the implementations of finance solutions and manage their ongoing support
Collaborate with external software vendors and System Integrators on project implementation and ongoing support, ensuring adherence to established SLA's
Develop and maintain relationships with business SME's and end users. Uses functional and technical knowledge to deliver solutions for projects as well as ongoing support.
Take on the role of a functional / technical Analyst on IT projects related to RAR and FICO. Complete the project / support deliverables to meet the timeline and quality objectives
Be responsible for creation of test scripts, functional testing, and documentation of test results
Drive the resolution of production support incidents, orchestrate IT support activities during Month End Close
Drives creative problem solving. Applies in-depth technical and functional knowledge to resolve recurring support incidents
Assist clients with transforming their finance function, restructuring processes, management reporting and design of control framework
Draft Target operating model (TOM) for Finance department leveraging client input and strategy
Preparation of approach / methodology in proposals in response of client RFP
Use formal system implementation methodologies during project prep, requirements gathering, design, build / test and deployment.
Interact and develop relationship with key client staff and engaging in a professional and confident manner
Document complex business processes by applying a variety of techniques, tools, and technologies to identify operational inefficiencies and non-compliant situations
Navigate multiple commitments on a regular basis to balance tasks across various client commitments
Qualification :
ACCA / CPA / CFA / CA Qualified / CA Finalist or Master’s degree in Business / Accounting & Finance / Economics or equivalent from a reputable university.
Skills :
Hands-on experience on ABAP Development is highly desirable.
Understanding of IFRS framework including IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 17 and IFRS 9
Experience with IFRS GAP / Impact assessments and Implementation
Expertise in providing advisory services to client transitioning between accounting frameworks (e.g. IFRS for SME to full adoption of IFRS)
Experience in providing complex accounting and reporting advice across public and private sector
Knowledge of Middle East accounting practices and regulations
Individual must be a hands-on developer with strong skills in Interfaces, enhancements, workflow, and forms. Will need to work closely with the functional team to help develop the best solutions.
Fluency in English is a must
Bilingual candidates having fluency in Arabic will be preferred
Experience :
7+ years of prior working experience in a relevant professional discipline.
Big Four Firms experience is a plus.
