is responsible for designing, managing and completion of construction projects (residential complexes) in the south region (Karachi) with emphasis on quality, cost and timely completion.

The project manager will supervise the entire project team for the performance of their functions on multiple projects. This includes preparation of progress reports for submission to head office, clients and to any other forum as and when required.

Job responsibilities :

  • Overall responsible for designing, managing and completion of building construction projects in the region, with emphasis on quality, cost and timely completion.
  • Supervise project team(s) for performance of their functions on various projects.
  • Ensure adherence to quality processes at site that may be in relation to on-site or laboratory testing, visual inspection, use of tools and equipment, implementation of technical specifications, reporting as per quality management plan, etc.
  • Keep a track of project activities for timely completion of tasks through progress tracking tools including software, subjective report writing and other reporting tools.
  • Make sure that there is no unexpected change in scope of project and ensure that timely communication is established with line manager to oversee such matters.
  • Track the costs on monthly basis in comparison to BOQs and project budget. Raise flag and discuss with line manager in case of any potential financial risk.
  • Manage stakeholders’ expectations and ensure effective coordination. Share the material / equipment requirements with the client on time.
  • In case of alternate material, work closely with client’s procurement team to manage the right material at right time and in right quantity.

  • Prepare progress reports for submission to head office, clients or other forums.
  • Prepare HSE plan and ensure PPEs are used during construction. Make sure that contractor is complying with HSE guidelines.
  • Education :

    Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

    Experience :

    Minimum 10 years of practical experience in construction projects, preferably high rise / vertical structures.

    Additional skills / knowledge required :

  • Sound knowledge of construction and site management.
  • Ability to understand drawings, design, technical specifications and BOQs.
  • Ability to take lead in the site supervision work to resolve day to day issues. Experienced in liaising with contractors, architects, and structural consultants.
  • Independent, self-going person, able to work with minimum supervision and capable of leading a team of technical people.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willing to travel extensively within and outside the region.
